So that snipers and rail tanks who exploit this to get kills and be in the safety of a magical timed barrier that kills enemies can be properly killed. I shouldn't have to use a suicide suit just to get these guys
Some people have exploited this SO much that they've found spots where you just cannot get them -_-
And why does equipment (such as REs) disappear on contact with the ground in the redline? -_- again... I'm trying to dispose of a tank who is exploiting this... why make it more difficult for me.
If you don't want people camping the drop area below the MCC, then make a ground spawn area for each map with a redline area only inside that spawn. A team can spawn into there safely, but theres no way Rail Tanks and Snipers can get cheap kills from them...
Or hell, get rid of the redline entirely, and put "auto-guns" underneath the MCC and indestructible ones in the home ground spawn area to keep "super campers" out. That way they can't just come in and pick off one, two, or three spawners with out having to worry about auto-defenses. Just be sure not to make them as OP as the installation turret AI's. Because they are way too consistently accurate. |

something needs to be done. multiply the spawnpoints by 4 and get rid of the redlines |

theres no way to prevent one of two things from happening
1: people get extreme camped in their redline
or
2: people have no reason to leave the redline and just sniper out of it when things go sour
personally i think #1 does more damage than #2
so theres why we have our current sustem and nothing can prevent one of those two things from happening, the players will always find a way |

That's why suggested the "counters" they don't have to be mine, but as long as they work. Becasue as of right now, players are exploiting the red line as it is. Because there are Rail Tanks and Snipers who stay in the redline regardless, that's a fact you cannot deny. |

you cant counter it, the players will ALWAYS find a way
im not denying it, im stating its inevitable no matter what systems you put into place.
there has never been an FPS that doesnt have that problem unless there is no redline and spawns happen anywhere on the map, at wich point you lose all semblance of fighting for ground.
aka the only counter is an ambush/scrim hybrid, and that really is a terrible idea. |

The existence of the redline is why ambush is the only decent game mode in Dust. |

A simple solution would to make it so you can't shoot through the redline, then make it so you cannot re-enter the redline within a certain time limit (30 seconds or so or something. Just making **** up right now.)
Would prevent redline fighting from being players running in and out of what's safe, but allows you to take an LAV back to your redline supply depot for a suit change after a tank decides to blow up every resources on the map.
