I like to think that if I receive hate mail, it shows I did really good that match. And if it is usually really bad or annoying I just add them to my block list. For me that seems to be enough. |

People rage, it's a natural response. It's often hilarious (which is beside the point, though) and it's generally healthy to vent, even if it's immature.
I think (Especially where death threats are concerned) that there is a very fine line here between protecting your customer and unnecessary whistle-blowing. While annoying... We've probably all heard about that case in the united states where some guy made a joke online about a bomb and a school and has been in jail for the last few months.
Sometimes things get like this get blown -way- out of proportion, and unless someone has any legitimate ability or intent of actually carrying out such a threat, it should be passed off as the immature, rage-fueled vent that it is. There's no need to go crazy over some guy in North America passing an immature threat to a dude in Europe, for example.
I dunno. That's just my feels on the matter. Some hate mail is funny, others are straight up offensive, and some can be legitimately scary. But I don't think any sort of blanket policy should be enacted or explored.
your comments here are extremely insensitive. that "guy" may or may not have been joking, but you may have heard of other "guys" in America who have said similar things, were not taken seriously and carried it out... many children have died in America because people took your position.... the bottom line is ANY kind of hate speech has no place, anywhere, including this game. the CPM must get behind topics like this, or when hate speech in this game is taken too far, be held accountable for it.
Not siding with people who send death threats but if you cant take hate mail you should lock yourself underground in a sound proof bunker because you're not going to make it in this world.
Where I come from "hate" is constantly spewwed out and is part of our culture, you seem to want to destroy my peoples culture and as such you're being "hateful". Please grow up and leave your bubble.

so if I understand you correctly, because there is hate in the world we should just accept it and not attempt to improve our dealings with each other right?
so the fact slavery used to be common practice, the people who strived to abolish it just needed to get out of their bubble
womens rights? those silly girls need to get out of their bubble.
child abuse... get out of your bubble it happens right?
hate speech is abuse and has no place.... anywhere...tolerate it and it spreads everywhere... |

It's not name calling that we're worried about.
It's things along the lines of "I'm going to come to your house at 427 Charles street and stab you in the gut". |

The way I read it was something like "I don't want you to be able to report it for any reason. I would rather you get stabbed."
There is a difference between anger and hate though. Hate mail is mostly from people who are angry. There needs to be a way to report those who step over the line. |

id message the ppl ive stolen expensive tanks from but i dont read their names when i kill them....
although i think them raging is hilariously funny and continue to laugh at their face...it only angers them even more...
in any case if ppl cant handle stress and kill themselves.to escape it..let me let them in on that...there is no escape..its a cruel cruel world....
ive gotten to the point where i could easily push back on any bullies and make them cry..but i dont do it because i no they were idiots to begin with..
ppl really shouldnt take this kind of crap seriously...
drama..is...stupid....and funny...and is also one of the many things in this world i will never understand...i kinda think for the oversensitive and overemotional ppl out there need to learn to deal with it....
they can abuse that report abuse button all they want but all i think it should do is block the emails sent by other players to them...if they dont want to hear the stupid trolls and stupid raging idiots they can use the mute button...its why it was invented in the first place!...
also some players will try and get innocent players banned.. by abusing the report abuse system....
i also see this as a potential way to bann some of the really skilled players...if ppl get crafty and team up and start reporting the same ppl..
overall i dont think it should be easy to use...
it should be made as hard to use as possible..
to prevent any possible abuse.. |
