In any case, it should be blaster shotgun for the shotgun.
And rail rifle, for the assault rifle. It can be pretty long distance, which doesnt coinsides with the blaster fork of gallente guns |

Not in the way you state it. You say that gallente's "rapidfire sniperrifle" is op because of the name.
Gallente rifle should have range of 90-95 meters, but keep current dps. Tac rifle should have 24 clip, but rof of 200 and damage per shot of 90-100 and range of 140-150 |

That's like suggesting we rename the upcoming Caldari and Minmatar rifles into "Railgun Rifle" and "Autocannon Rifle", respectively, and naming the Scrambler Rifle to "Pulse Laser Rifle". Not terribly good names for handheld weapons. |

I like the ring of "Gauss Rifle" instead of rail rifle, and Blaster Carbine instead of "Assault rifle".
Combat rifle and scrambler rifle work fine just now imo, as the combat rifle carries fewer preconceived notions to the table than calling aomething an "AR", and not many people know what the hell to make of the name "scrambler" right off the bat. |
