He never said they should be limited to scouts. Making charged rifles glow would make sense but would also make them far more difficult to use as you would have to wait to see the target b4 you could actually start charging and this would me you would have to already be set to fire as well. If the target is always moving then you would probably get counter sniped b4 you actually get the shot off. How about charge rifles have a tracer(smoke trail that shows bullet travel) that lasts longer then other rifles and is more visible.

Snipers already do this but if you don't pay attention, it is almost impossible to detect them even if you are looking in the correct direction.

Snipers already mark hostiles for there squad (will be taken out in 1.4 though). I find redline sniping to lack a challenge (the whole reason for sniping is to challenge myself) so I tend to get to tactical locations outside the redline that normally most players could get too. As a scout I get reduced profile so there are times were I can snipe from the enemy's area without them knowing that I'm there. As a scout you can act reckless at times and still pull off some amazing stuff. This will never happen for you if you're behind that line. If you are not a scout then you have a high survival rate anyway so you REALY don't need to be behind the line.

Revelations 514 wrote:Definitely. Hard to respect red line snipers. However good snipers are to be feared. It's actually pretty tough to land shots, that's why I think the dmg is fine as you earn it.
Behind the redline where you have no real threat, does not command respect nor does it really help your team do more than lock down one objective, (usually the "last" objective to be capped anyways).
However a sniper that can move, take strategic placement over strategic objectives, and make his shots count will be feared. And even without a redline you have to have a plan to deal with the sniper and execute well.
Imagine a sniper combo where one is the "spotter" with the active scanner rifle and the other with the charged. Lock down an objective then stealth to the next. Would be challenging, take skill to not get flanked, and sounds like enough fun to make me change my current spec of SG Scout. The main argument to the sniper is that they do not help the objective. I do not think this is true for a good sniper; so this kind of change would promote the "objective sniper" as well as showcase the sniper's overall skills for survival, location selection, and teamwork. Quite honestly it just sounds fun lol
I don't mind using the spotter rifle if you rock the charged rifle! We would be unstoppable as (objectively speaking) I normally try to keep my team informed of the enemy while only shooting hostiles that pose a threat to my ground forces. Because of this, I don't really mind if the enemy survives my shot 'cause I know that my shot will at least scare them into a defensive position, allowing my team to switch to offense.

Planned to be fixed in 1.4 or 1.5. Can't wait!

Can you say "Army of two"? lol I pulled off a sync shot with a friendly FG once. It was awesome cuz I got the kill but the guy went flying! Just the other day I suppressed 2 snipers that had the high ground on me. After they found me, I kept there attention and then BANG! A friendly proto sniper takes them out. THIS IS TEAMWORK
Dam! I love playing with skilled players lol.
