Not many other ways you can interpret that unless you're going to be one of those idiots that thinks that means they're making a PC client. |

The Sony exclusive has to expire first though. Who said it's going to expire, and why does everyone assume this just has to happen?
The whole stated intent of Dust was to bring in a "different group of gamers who would normally not be able to experience the EVE universe from their console".
Why would it make any sense to just dump that and switch to a PC game?
And don't use Planetside 2 as an example. Planetside 2 is going to have a completely separate set of servers for PS4 players because of the control differences.
What PC gamer that you can think of would tolerate an FPS that has rotation speed limitations? Their $120 gaming mouse would give them no competitive advantage.
So, to release it on PC, they'd have to remove the rotation caps, instantly placing at an extreme disadvantage anyone who uses the controller, which is the control method DESIGNED for the console, now meaning that anyone that wants to stay competetive has to buy a mouse just to not get creamed. Some people don't even like gaming with mice.
A PC client would alienate the entire console community and effectively sink this entire project just to gain an audience of PC gamers who would probably ignore it in favor of Planetside 2's constant parade of new MLG emblems and glowing vehicle trim. |

I stopped about here. I feel like I should say something about matchmaking and pubstomping here. Something about people getting creamed because of unfair advantages and comparing that to mice and such...I dunno though. You shouldn't have to force segregation by control methods.
If they didn't have native support, people would just use custom solutions or input emulators to use their mice anyway.
Keeping the game as it is, the advantage is manageable, so everyone can play fairly together once the improved aim-assist system comes in for the controllers.
This is, after all, a console game first and foremost. Using the control method designed for the platform should NOT be a disadvantage. |

I was using an extreme example to make a point, obviously. |
