I destroyed a Falchion once in my Soma (LolCaldariHAVs) and I only got 200k ISK.
But I dont mind, killing an idiot that specced into Caldari Enforcers was more rewarding than any amount of ISK. |

The point is that match rewards are based on the cost of the items that you destroy in a match, or at least they should be according to what the devs have said. |

I thought so too but the next match I got paid just marginally less but did better, as in came higher on the scoreboard. Any comment on what is going on from the devs would be nice considering their own comments on their system ire either untrue or broken. |

Well yea ...
C how it works is ... If you make 1000 WP a given game and you are first at the leaderboards of your team you get the most of the ISK then it spreads out to the rest . But if you get 1000WP and you are lets say ... 5th on the boards you will get significantly less altho you scored the same as the previous game .
So it doesn't matter that you took out a whole armored vehicule batallion on your own and you saved the game . You only made 900 WP . On the other hand a LOGI bro spaming Droplinks and reviving people and letting them die in the middle of the fight gets 2000 and makes 2x your ISK .
Bottom line is : The worse your team = the more ISk you get , cause you can easily get 1st place on the boards

Maybe that team didn't run as much isk value in gear as the match before?
My 560k match was against a team using lots of proto weapons and some nice tanks.
I have had games where I got near 3k wp , paid only 280k or so because basically.. it was easy, they had lower end gear.
And then play games against much tougher opponents and get 1500 WP making 350-400k |

I know how it works but I destroyed two tanks worth at least 1.4 million each, I at least thought that had to be worth something. I didn't do too well in the match because I was solely interested in destroying the Vayu's with all my proto AV. As for this info being readily available, the devs released a blog that said something along the lines of GÇ£the more **** you blow up, the more you getGÇ¥.
For those wondering how I soloe'd the strongest tank in the game: The tanker was stupid and I was smart meaning I got about five swarms and 8 AV grenades on him before he even moved, and I had an uplink nearby to spawn right back in behind him.

The reward system in this game is really fcking asinine; how's that for an explanation? Seriously though, this is CCP we're talking about and when it comes to DUST it seems asinine is par for the course as far as their decision making is concerned. |

It does seem that way sometimes...
I don't know why we can't just have our isk payouts based solely on what we kill, or all start with a basic share that would be the contract price for each merc, it starts at 100k for everybody and doesn't change based on WP. Then it adds on a percentage of the gear you destroyed, say 75% of the value and awards it to you. Surely that would be much better and also much more simple. |

Maybe there's a randomising factor in every instant battle, to simulate 'contracts', since every contract won't be giving mercs the same reward.
