Those tensions have been there for years, decades, but it takes a spark to set the woods alight. Is that spark the result of a storm? Or is it something some mastermind intended?
The xenophobic fool who shot Karin Midular would no doubt be pleased with his success. Perhaps that is the only mastermind required: the rest would seem to require little staging ... just a speck, a fleck, of fire.

Um ... please correct me if I misunderstand, soldier, but despite the Federation's libertarian tendencies ... aren't recreational boosters and prostitution illegal in the Federation presently? Hasn't there been an ongoing sort-of war with the Serpentis and the Angel Cartel over it? |
