ive put 4pts into caldari LAV operation, yet my shield resistance is equal to my alt with only 1pt. suppose to be higher... plus my 1st shield resistance module is being penalized (for stacking, I suppose) on top of my passive not registering as intended either (shield op lvl 5 is 10%... registers as 7%) so essentially the entire equasion for the Caldari LAV is BUGGED |

are you talking about the logistics LAVs? because that skill is broken. the LAVs skill has no bonus attached to it.
you resistance is not bugged, every new resistance added is muiltbled to the % of damage possible. IE shield 10% takes 100% to 90% then a module for 15% takes 90% to 77.5%( .9x.15=.135 or 13.5%) harpyja has a better long explained post on it. |

yes, sorry... its the logi lav... but it seems that its natural 30% resist is screwing everything up... base is 30%, lvl 5 shield upgrades is 10%, but mine is base 37%, not 40%, then my FIRST resist mod (15%) is only 9%... the stacking is glitched... it glitches and penalizes my passive, the subsequently my FIRST, module... 2nd-4th I understand taking a heavy hit... but 1st???

thanx for this... however, I was also trying to report that my [passive] is stacking penalized... but thanx for the linx... I looked for several pages before adding a new post, didn't see that one. |

THIS IS FOR CCP
IT IS CORRECT AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW, DON'T TOUCH IT
Damage resistance = 1 - [ ( 1 - x ) * ( 1 - y ) * (1 - z) * ... ]
Where x is vehicle base resistance, y is resistance from skills, and z is the resistance from your first module.
this is whats happening and it is the correct way to apply resistances and you would going till you ran out of modules w/ *(1-whatever module after penalties) |
