But if you are referring to my Mass Driver post, I have to say I'm not trying to screw people over. This issue is a little more complicated than a simple "Is it OP, or not OP".

Because while I understand the Mass Driver is no more effective in the hands of a casual than a zero SP milita assault rifle in the hands of a vet, that doesn't mean it's the same thing when an actual skilled player gets his hands on an MD.

Ideally, we want a weapon that support (non-slayers) players can use for area denial and perhaps even still have a place in the competitive world. But that is a difficult task to balance as there are many other outside factors that influence the performance of this weapon in contrast to others (Hit detection, framrates, armor/shield balancing, weapon balancing).

It's really hard to say. What?

Apparently they don't realize that they have a choice. They don't have to spawn at that uplink time and time again. I sit by that camp fire until the embers burn cold. Anyone that spawns there, well that was their decision to be met with a face full of bullets.

Attacking someone for spawn camping always struck me as something similar to attacking a farmer for planting on good soil.

It's really hard to say. No, I'm referring to the massive influx of posts after 1.3 that were just "HA HA ALL YOUR GEAR GOT NERFED. SUCK IT" I'll admit that I felt a sense of grim satisfaction watching all the people with their 5 Complex Extender suits now have to play on the same level as the rest of us, but some of the people in those threads were going really overboard. At the end of the day, it's about trying to balance the game and not about breaking things to spite people. It would seem right now that the Mass Driver is applying full splash damage over too wide an area, and that's something that needs to be fixed if that's the case.
