True Adamance wrote:Pfff the Minmatar don't have a technological past, most likely they took the shinest amarrian tech they could find, wrapped it all up in duct tape, prayed to their heathen god's, electrocuted themselves eighteen times, and finally gave up bashed steady over the head with a rock, and ran off. Ha, we can all agree that their current technical appearances aren't what they used to be, but they used to hold prowess over the most advanced mechanical and technological capabilities in all of new eden, Jovies excluded of course. In fact I would not be surprised at all if they designed the prototype for your implants before you enslaved them and stole their research.
You must have your histories mistake, or perhaps I do, but cloned soldiers are a recent development in technology, with the sleeper tech being exploited in YC 11, and the first clone soldiers revealed in YC115.
We had ensiaved the Minmatar for several hundred years before the Great Rebellion in 23216. They did not design the prototype implants their lack of technological development Is apparent, due to the Amarr having to uplift them from their tribal status. Before the Golden Fleet first arrived I would have been surprised if the Minmatar had even been through and industrial age,
"The fortunes of the Minmatar have ebbed and flowed continuously. At one time they had a flourishing empire with a level of mechanical excellence never before or since seen anywhere. Later, however, they had to endure centuries of enslavement, toiling and dying for the benefit of foreign masters." Historical source: http://community.eveonline.com/backstory/races/minmatar/
Oh I have no doubt the Siebestor are excellent engineers... however any technological advancements they have made their owe to their Amarrian masters.
I must disagree, Adamance; the Amarr are renowned for the development of laser technology, the Minmatar for their mastery of projectile weapons. Very different technological advancements, not to mention the huge disparity in terms of supplies between the two; the Amarr have an abundance of resources, while the Sebiestor have little to no resources available to them. That being said, it is a scary thought to imagine what they could accomplish if put in the same situation as your Amarrian engineers.

I wouldn't boast in such gifts considering it took months for divine developments to put a RDS on a Laser Rifle. For heavenly gifts, I'm not impressed; after all, the Amarrians were nothing less than shaken to the core culturally thanks to the Gallente, they were decimated by the remains of a race plagued by genetic accident, and they lost a significant portion of their slaves. From what I see, divinity is being beat around every corner. |
