Seam to me that the Nanite Injectors is an endangered Species.
Can any good support players explain to the rest of DUST the tremendous advantage that it is to pick-up your downed brother Merc.
Last game I played, I died 6 times, not once there was a triage unite even close. I called for help but no-one there!

It's simple, people were spooked over injectors that didn't work. So people eliminated them from their fits and got used to playing without them.
As a Logi, I rarely carry an injector anymore, since it is non-sensical how it is setup. Assaults should carry good injectors, but if I'm carrying a repper, it makes more sense to carry a crap injector, or none at all. This all from the perspective of WP accumulation. |

To answer your question using a nanite injector is actually not really the greatest tool. In ambushes they are fine because there are times when you're not actually near enemies so the delayed injection to resurrect your teammate doesn't hurt you so badly.
In dominations and skirmishes it's completely useless to use an injector and this is for several reasons. Most logistics suits, with the exception of Minmatar prototype, have 3 equipment slots. A logistics player can use these three slots to use a repair tool, nanohive, and an uplink, which will generate an extremely large amount of war points and be more effective on the battlefield. A lot of people, myself and my corporation included, choose to not use prototype suits in pub matches so that our profits are larger at the end of the match. We choose to use the more effective equipment setups which do not include nanite injectors. They are useful but their too slow to be "good enough" to use them over uplinks or repair tools. Plus, when the person dies a 3 second respawn timer is much better than using a needle.
I tried to make this a cohesive statement so hopefully you get what I'm saying. It's much more cost-effective to use an uplink over a needle. Simple as that. To add also one more point, it's much safer to not run out and try to inject someone because half the time you'll die in the process and give away 2 kills rather than just the one! |

So this is what it is all about! Not giving kills (KDR) to the other faction.
If this is the direction MMOs are going to, then I rather not playing.
I really don't care about KDR, for me it is all about playing the game I think it was meant to be. TEAM WORK.
I guess I'll be one of rare Logic's reviving and not caring about dying...

You should consider being "effective" rather than what you "want" to do. Sometimes being useful trumps the so-called "TEAM WORK" mentality. |

you do see very little revives these days. At one point every other assault carried an injector. I carry around a 50% injector with a proto rep tool and only try to revive if reviving seems logical at that moment. If your laying in the middle of street with heavy fire bleeding out expecting me to come get you, I won't. However i will stick around, try and help repair guys near while helping clear the zone.. if it is cleared and you are still there bleeding out, I will come get you.
I HATE when people intentionally run in real fast knowing there is heavy fire, just to get the the +50 and keep running. If you see me near as a triage logi, I will make sure to heal your ass after picking up, but don't just stand still either expecting me to turn you into a bullet sponge.. get your ass to cover |

To my mind it doesn't matter what injector you have as I always heal with a repper to top up HP. I am specing into injectors soon once I get some key systems up first (to stop myself becoming a casualty) as I can't stand to see my efforts wasted trying to keep my team alive. But yes, I understand your frustrations with being revived by some berk in the middle of combat just to get some extra SP and getting us shot again. I swear they must be hired by the enemy to double their points -_- My corp has always appreciated my efforts (..ok they hate that I'm attached to my scanner rather than have nanohives but I digress *cough* ) cus I work around my current shortcomings |

I must by one rare logi as I allways prioritize nano injectors above uplinks. Reviving team mates saves them the cost of a new dropsuit and a clone for our team. I also continue to rep team mates even when I have reached max warpoints for repping. |

I also rarely use the injector on my Logi fittings. I just find them more effective to have on my Assault fittings instead.
My Assault fittings generally have more firepower/survivabilty, allowing me (theoretically) to suvive long enough to eliminate the threat and revive the downed teammate. Odds are I'm already on the front line and near them when they go down, which usually means that I can get to them faster than the Logis on my team anyway. Once the're up, I can cover them as they withdraw to be repaired or find cover.
Even on my Starter Assault fit, I've thrown a free BPO injector into the equipment slot. I just need to be a little more careful when I use it, so that I know the guy I revive can make it to cover (or to the nearest Logi) before being shot again.
Of course, on my better, more expensive suits, I substitute the better, more effective injectors, but the basic principle behind their use remains the same. |

It is mostly due to your team mates, I just finished a skirmish and only managed to revive 2 team members, the rest respawned before I had the time to revive them. I spend time running from corpse to corpse just to see them respawn when I was about to stick my nano injector in their corpse. In some matches everyone patiently waits to be revived to save a clone loss and in some matches everyone runs in militia and quickly respawns rather than waiting for the revive. |

As for gettting killed a second time, that's why Logi should clear the area. If it is a sniper, the 80% tool won't be worth much anyway.

I run my logi for my squad first and foremost, if there are others around that need my services after then I'll rep or revive them. Sadly I've noticed many blueberries use militia injectors and spam them instead of clearing the enemy so I can use my 50% or 80% injector. They and the revived end up dead and I'm left to try and clear the cherries by myself. If the blueberries aren't spawning out before I can get to them, they are dying in open fields having been shot by 3 cherries and sit begging for help forever. I won't risk my suit to save them from their stupidity. |

A few factors sway me from using the needle:
-I can only carry 3 equipment in my pupstomping gear (std gal logi) (4 at proto, but I'd rather have triage and quantum hives) -Repair Tool is great for keeping people alive and getting triage points -Hives keep people armed and lethal -Uplinks for summoning an army of blue dots and getting points -With all the OHKO explosives running around, it makes pick ups a bit scarcer, plus picking up someone usually means going into a dangerous area, not guaranteeing that I either get points or help the team with my sacrifice. |

For all the hate the injectors seem to be getting. Could have swore there was a cap to Triage WP, to prevent boosting.
No WP cap on injectors though... If WP over time is what you want as a logi... use a needle too. Why not?
Active scanner, needle, and rep tool. Assaults usually carry their own nanohive or uplink. |

Dude lets be realistic . You maybe one of those 2% that play LOGIs as support but the rest of the players can't suffer from the other 98% LOGIs that are basicly being Assault 2.0 |

Lets be honest people are not using it because they used all the extra PG/CPU the LOGI suits have so they can fit it FULL PROTO weaponry + DMG mods + TANK mods ... SO they can assault 2.0 cause no Assault suit can fit Full proto :) |

As a logi I am constantly reanimating dead clones. Being a pack mule carrying hives, and uplinks for everyone that is fine with me. A rep gun for when you are hiding like a little girl because you lost all your HPs * heavies I'm talking to you : ) * Seems like when I run Logi all the assault blue berries feel the need to run in and needle the dead. No concern with the fire fight or what their ROLE SHOULD BE DOING KILLING. So I am left trying to fight off the enemy while I watch another role do my job. (9/10 times they die and the clone they needled dies) Yet when I die all the assault are doing their jobs and fighting with no needles. So there I am dead hoping for someone to stick me. Begs me to ask the question, What's up with that? The second I put on a free suit that I don't care about, needles seem to be everywhere and my clone barely touches the dirt b4 he is back on his feet......New Eden is a strange place indeed. |
