The MD Splash damage is actually Laughable , even if the slaps damage radius is immense. They need to score a direct hit in order to really damage you, That is unless you are a scout, they you are fd LOL.
But as you said , the problem is sometimes EVEN if you shoot first you get killed by them. Well thats a problem with other weapons. It has happened to me with the HMG and A.Scram Rifle.... And yeah, you have to have perfect aim while they might spam, but that wont work everytime, live vs multiple enemies...

i know people think MASS DRIVERS are OP, and they are right... sometimes you have to think about wether they are in their element or not. if you go up against a mass driver at point blank range you will 9.5/10 times win, but if they are at that perfect distance to arc their shots in over your cover, then they are deadly. |

they are the two most underused and or underpowered weapons. if there was a third it would be nova knifes, they are in need of a buff, but my corp master went 34/12 running just nova knifes (and like 4 grenade kills) so you can use nova knifes effectivly.
though imma go after your original post and say that forge guns are to over powered AGAINST DROPSHIPS, not against infantry or any of that other stuff, but the proto/adv ones are too effective against a dropship.
NO Forge guns are OK. Dropships need love. |

HAHAHA ME 2 ! I play Scout and Heavy (i only use heavy if the enemy is abusing Vehicles)
My Mimja scout has 300 total HP ,so you know that any advanced/proto Mass driver can 1-2 shot ko me.
Im gonna be honest ,unless the MD user SEES me first, i usually win with my main, ishi SMG. (if hes alone that is >..>) Then Again, Explosives ARE the way to deal with scouts since i can almost DODGE TAc AR and scram rifles shots at mid range (10.4 sprint speed)
BTW Updated the Post. BURST/BRC AR and plasma need love too. Agreed. |

ARs are carried far too often. In pub matches they kill almost as much as 11 of the available 14 weapons in the game.
This is killing diversity, and makes most weapons borderline pointless and dumbs the game down.
Something needs to be done. I say nerf the AR. After that, sure, stop for a while. CCP seems like they've had no trouble nerfing weapons up to now, so no stopping just because it's most player's fav under the microscope.
A nerf to the AR is long overdue. |

while I agree you make a lot of sense I cant help but lol at the fact youre telling CCP not to nerf things and end with a request to nerf LAVs...just lol at that....

I don't think people realize this...
but the reason weapons get out of control is because the weapons that are supposed to be able to counter them aren't effective enough.
So the balance that's supposed to be in this game is broken because of underpowered weapons. |

Well , they are not ''balanced'' right now. Is a fact that beteewn mobility, High HP and damage resistance LAV's are still the ultimate Vehicle in this game. (Able to whistand a BREACH FORGE GUN plus AV grenade in less than 4 seconds...) And everybody except murder taxi drivers agree. There by, this is a general problem that must be issued, because the opinion is so biased that the point proves itself.
And my post is about not nerfing WEAPONS, thats why i put the other stuff under, you know, OTHER stuff XD If you read my posts you'll see im an avid Vehicle hater XD , but good for you for noticing ....
@ Buster Friently Buster , AR's are always gonna be the main weapon of choice because it serves well in different situations,while other are designed to excel in specific areas. It is , and it will always be ''carried to often''. In every FPS. What i think they need to do is to buff every weapon to AR level. At the moment MASS DRIVERS are good BECAUSE of this. The Fight MD vs AR is pretty close and VERY dependant on the area they are being fought in. Snipers and FGs dominate Ranged Battles as it should be, but fare poorly in CQ. AS IT SHOULD BE.(Same goes for TAC AR)
This kind of balance is what we need. And to be honest, i prefer to see a lot of powerful weapons , even if they end up being OP, than a LOT of useles ones... |

-I think The Burst AR needs to be adjusted to at least 5 Bullets per ''burst''. This way it will be compared to the Old Burst , which i agree and was beast (it was the only AR i've ever liked ) , but with 2 less bullets per burst and a little more damage.
-The Breach AR is actually decent, the problem is the RoF is just WAY too low. compared tho high RoF of the AR, not to mention the TAC Ar's and Burst, the breach RoF is way to low and the damage isnt just enough. Or either more damage (To be able to Rival The TAC R1 Spam) or a little more RoF.
-On Plasma C:I think the best thing to do with the Plasma cannon ( after playing for a while with it, even making an alt to main it), is to GREATLY reduce the reload time. Also the projectile itself should be Faster. As it is, unless a vehicle is STILL is almost impossible to hit something 50mts or more. (LAV are impossible straight out XD).Also that weird Arc thing the plasma cannon has should be distance dependent. The first 100 Mts it should t exist, after 150-200 mts then the gravity should activate there by giving the projectile that arc effect... IMO that is. XD |
