I would not expect to see any Starhawks or Gundams in this game, but I haven't actually read anything that CCP has stated concerning mechs. Who knows, maybe we'll get transformers.

Maybe I'm way off, but I don't see them moving much faster than tanks. Yeah, I really doubt they would give it any kind of jump-jet or anything like that. Being able to walk and move in any direction rapidly is more than enough of a mobility advantage.

Picture something like the mechs from Avatar.

While being easier to see and hit is a balance factor for being as mobile as an MTAC would be, we don't want to go too far overboard and just make them expensive food for Railgun tanks.
