They're designed to kill replication build suits.
Yea, proto replication suits that would seem damn near invincible to the weapons we have now. heavies that could tank close to 2000 armor.
Scout suits with enough ehp to rival the proto caldari suits we have now.
Assault suits that would seem like Demi gods if you were ever encountered one.
Oh, and everything had 2x the base speed too.
Yea, the locust grenades are still the original grenades from replication. They're probably the only thing that have not been altered during this games life span.
The core locust grenades are a glimpse of the past power of weapons we had to use to deal with each other. |

Good thought.
Someone at CCP should definitely review the numbers on the grenades. |

God tanks were just before Uprising. Unless there was a time they were worse. |

That was the 3
E3 build which had rep suits through half of its duration. Then they were eventually flattened. Super tanks were around at this point , and up to the end of codex, but our weapons were a little stronger to deal with them. |

there was.
just pre uprising was the reign of terror of the invincable infantry 1HK rail sniper
long ago in closed beta was the invincable LOL missle tank of doom that pretty much killed everything and anything and didnt die to much besides another missle tank with a better pilot |

I think AV grenades are in same boat with locust grenades too. I never paid too much attention to them at that time , but I think they're unchanged too. |
