That's a very good question. Do clones dream? What do they dream of? Do they dream of their past? Are their pasts even their own anymore? Do they dream of death? Of untold amounts of blood spilled across a hundred thousand battlefields? Is this carnage they have caused even considered their own anymore, or is it ascribed to another? Are they really who they started as, or just another entity born into the state of something that came before them? Who's life do they live now? Can what they live now even be called a life? Are they merely a shadow of their former selves, with something irrevocably lost with each death?

A child's voice echoed in the darkness of his thoughts.
"Dad, when we die - is it like dreaming for a really long time?"
As they approach the scorched wasteland that had been ravaged by countless skirmishes in an overarching war, the soft scent of Amarrian Wheat filled his nostrils; though he couldn't place it. At first he considered something was awry with his implants, or perhaps the filtration system of his suit. The smell was soon overlapped as his other senses took over - the pattering of air-burst weaponry firing off all around.
He glanced to his comrades, curious as to whether they too had felt the tinge of anxiety that welled in his stomach. Much to his dismay they were silent and motionless. Each stared with an eerily calm demeanor at one another through the lit view screen of their helmets.
Consideration toward the plausibility that maybe, just maybe, he wasn't who he thought he was. A decade ago he was a simple man who was providing for his family but... Who were they, really? He could barely recall the faces of his loved ones, shrouded in a haze of his own amnesia that came from time - not disorder. If he could not remember his family than perhaps he could remember why he fought but alas he could not. Was it for currency? Was it for freedom or liberty? Was it for spiritual conquest or perhaps... Something else?
The door opened and his comrades rushed away at the very instant the vehicle came to a grinding, whirring halt. Small arms lit the chassis and several of his friends fell... But were they his friends..? His mind, clouded with confusion was soon met with overwhelming pain as he found himself staring at the sky and rolling his head side-wards to display the grim sight of his lower half beside him before all was dark...
... and awoken again to row after row, column after column of his brothers. All looking exactly alike, all exactly like him. He glanced to his hands with narrowed eyes and thought to himself:
"Dad, when we die - is it like dreaming for a really long time?"

They are probably all different people who agreed to become a clone soldier, once they were set-up by having the tech. & etc. put in & on they're 1st body then were deployed off into battle then once they are killed they're conciousness is sent to a new clone body that doesn't look like them, basically a default body, to return to battle in & from their they constantly go to default premade clone bodies but they are still themself. Or they leave they're 1st real body in they're quarters, switch to a default premade clone body then go into battle then use default bodies till battle over then switch back to they're 1st body. (They can switch bodies possibly in The War Room prior to deployment.) Or they have alow of custom made bodies of themselves and use the custom ones outside battle and the default bodies in battle. But regardless they are themself. As for dreams if they're in either body then they should be able to dream, dreams are afterall natural so long as you have a brain & body you probably dream. |

Sun Tzu, a chinese war general said that,"...Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate."
It is basically psychological warefare.
On Topic - Our clones should be able to sleep in later updates, thereby they could actually dream...of how awesome their real selves are..or how crazy i am.

Hey, CCP Logibro, the real question is, do clones dream of the celebrities that mere mortals dream of? Or are those mortals that other mortals dream of the same as the rest? That is, lesser beings.

Since it appears that the religiously-driven Amar had the first OFFICIAL COMBAT RELEASE of clone technology in combat (The Templars, was it?), it is likely that the issue of "clone" grown un-naturally rather than by Nature-ordained would be an issue the Amar would have to have debated in their culture.
So it leads to my curiosity point about "clones": If we are made "immortal" simply by way of having multiple disposable bodies (rather than ACTUALLY being physically immortal), is the clone given any natural REPRODUCTION ability?
Has it ever been decided whether a clone:
does not need to have reproductive organs/plumbing,
is not expected to serve that purpose of conceiving children,
will not be fitted with the organs because of the risk of producing "tech-artificial" bloodlines in the races instead of the "natural" bloodlines that seem to play a role in clans and EVE lore,
is given operable plumbing, but simply in a 'sterile' form so that a clone can enjoy the human urges of companionship without accidentally conceiving and giving birth to a DNA nightmare.
...wow, the places this game could go.... Shivers!

Depends on whether or not they consider fighting and dying to be negative things.
For example an Amarrian devotee might consider his deaths and all the killing he or she does a noble act in the name of God and get plenty of sleep.
