I recommend you read the Dust fiction short stories.
This is Part 7of the Stranded series. Here you'll find some answers.

They must dream of past times of getting blown up by remote explosive, getting shot in the face by my shotgun and last but not least have recurring nightmares of getting t-bagged balls deep.
It's a bird!
No it's a plane!
Never mind it's just my shotgun in your face!

Are they really who they started as, or just another entity born into the state of something that came before them? Who's life do they live now? Can what they live now even be called a life? Are they merely a shadow of their former selves, with something irrevocably lost with each death? Oh clones. You give us such wonderful themes to play with.

Since it appears that the religiously-driven Amar had the first OFFICIAL COMBAT RELEASE of clone technology in combat (The Templars, was it?), it is likely that the issue of "clone" grown un-naturally rather than by Nature-ordained would be an issue the Amar would have to have debated in their culture.
So it leads to my curiosity point about "clones": If we are made "immortal" simply by way of having multiple disposable bodies (rather than ACTUALLY being physically immortal), is the clone given any natural REPRODUCTION ability?
Has it ever been decided whether a clone:
does not need to have reproductive organs/plumbing,
is not expected to serve that purpose of conceiving children,
will not be fitted with the organs because of the risk of producing "tech-artificial" bloodlines in the races instead of the "natural" bloodlines that seem to play a role in clans and EVE lore,
is given operable plumbing, but simply in a 'sterile' form so that a clone can enjoy the human urges of companionship without accidentally conceiving and giving birth to a DNA nightmare.
...wow, the places this game could go.... Shivers!

This would be a cool way to take it.

If they can dream they must have vivid nightmares considering how much they die and fight. But I wonder the constant fighting hardened up some's emotions and others that are insane to a point of no return? |

The door opened and his comrades rushed away at the very instant the vehicle came to a grinding, whirring halt. Small arms lit the chassis and several of his friends fell... But were they his friends..? His mind, clouded with confusion was soon met with overwhelming pain as he found himself staring at the sky and rolling his head side-wards to display the grim sight of his lower half beside him before all was dark...
... and awoken again to row after row, column after column of his brothers. All looking exactly alike, all exactly like him. He glanced to his hands with narrowed eyes and thought to himself:
"Dad, when we die - is it like dreaming for a really long time?"
"No."[/quote]
In Templar 1 the main character still retained his looks of his face from his precloned body as he was recognized coming back to were he was killed by his sister and the HalfMan machine that shot him in the head. Clones do not look the same unless twins were cloned. |

Depends on whether or not they consider fighting and dying to be negative things.
For example an Amarrian devotee might consider his deaths and all the killing he or she does a noble act in the name of God and get plenty of sleep.
