If you want to balance AR's then remove the sharpshooter skill. No need to fix the damage ect I don't feel but with the spread reduction your increasing the AR's effective range..I thought CCP originally removed SS to stop weapons working outside their intended ranges. |

Yes, but SS worked differently then.
Interesting note, and I could be wrong, but I believe the AR is the only weapon that has the SS skill available to it?
Personally, I think more needs to be done, but I don't want to derail your thread because I believe it's a good place to start looking. |

Without the skill during ADS the bullet spread is still very tight. |

Why not post your weapon choice, so I and possibly others can tell you what is wrong with it.
MD almost unlimited range to splash damage LR longer fire time and any hits do full damage Scrm scope and charged shot SMG faster firing, larger clip almost same range Plas Can good against infantry and vehicles nice range Flay Pistol, still has longer range than the AR Forge Gun, OHK machine against veh. & infantry Snip Rif... hide behind the redline
Since I am supposed to be an immortal soldier/ mercenary... I figure that I would have learned everything about the most basic of weapons for any idiot to use, be it the workplace gunman or a child in the congo... full auto AR.
Still waiting to here why I don't have a scope still for my AR. |

I think laser rifle goes even further, not sure about scrambler. The only shots that do not go on a long distance are rockets and flaylock/MD projectiles. |

Just add a bullet drop for all weapons, rip off bf3 if you have to, and if you want to make things interesting: have a gravity rating for each planet and increase/decrease bullet drop for each |

It also makes spray and pray more difficult and with how bad hit detection is in this game you want that dispersion cone as large as possible for CQC. So SS actually nerfs your AR lol.
