I recognized a lot of hostility against EoN because they are the best. Well, the best for now. You all are complaining that they are bad and blabla. And in your games you have disconnects and lags and all that. Have you ever thought about them having that problems? I guess not if that are the reasons you show why EoN is good. Maybe you are just bad.
I also saw people complaining about the good players going to EoN-corps. Wouldn't you go as a good player? Everyone wants to be on the winner's side. EoN is the winner this time. If the good players are leaving you corp, than they don't think you are good enough. Complain and they will laugh at you. Train and get better and they may come back.
It isn't a good character trait to leave a corp to join the winning corp, and that's also not loyality, but the the humans are often this way. The way of the least resistance. A good corp doesn't mean the best players are in a corp but the players in the corp like each other and play as a team. It's a game and you are supposed to have fun.
Yes, losing isn't fun, but losing a good game against a challenging enemy is the nearly as great as wining such a game.
So, about your corp getting better : Challenge EoN. You only get better if you play against people who are better thn you are. EoN are the best fot the moment. They may fall if the othe corps would challenge them.
I don't know if my corp is blue or red with EoN, and i doesn't care. I'd like to play against their corps and i hope zo be in the battle against SyNergy tomorrow. It might be a good fight.
I won't leave my corp just because we are losing. I don't care about it. If everyone else is leaving, than too bad. I stay till i stop playing Dust, and that could take a long time.

Hating on EoN or accusing them of foul play is pointless. If you're gonna point your anger at someone, point it at a corp. The alliance is loose and doesn't exist for strategic reasons (granted there's little strategy in Dust ATM), and as far as I can tell, it only exists so the individual corps don't have to compete for bragging rights. Kinda makes being on the top a lot more watered down if you ask me.
Or point your anger at the corps filled with boasters with bad jokes who sh!t up the forums with eyerolls and drama. They're the ones making Dust less fun. Not the one's with FPS talent.
Underhanded comment notwithstanding, I completely agree with OP that less experienced corps should stop complaining about the winning corps and challenge them. Especially if you're a "bad" corp. We played a match against Team Players today, and of course they kicked our ass, but it was way fun nonetheless running around with sh!tfits and scrambler pistols seeing who can kill ChicagoCubs the most. It's a lot more satisfying dropping a top player in proto gear, even if you get killed three times in the process.
Quote: Everyone wants to be on the winner's side.
I disagree. I'm terrible at dust, but I was a top player back when I played killzone. It was satisfying for me trying to move my losing clan up the leaderboard. Never succeeded, but challenges are fun. You can play the game in hard mode, or you can switch to "I'm Too Young To Die" difficulty and join the top corporation. It's just like weapons: it's not a rule of dust that the freedom mass driver is more fun than a laser rifle.
Quote:I also saw people complaining about the good players going to EoN-corps. Wouldn't you go as a good player?
Again, no. But for corps like Dreddit and Goonswarm, etc, it's a different game. Corps and alliances can be bonded by a culture that exists outside of the game. Because of that, we're less likely to lose players to other corps. Subdreddit has lost a few of our top guys, but most of the ones that left didn't really fit in in the first place, didn't get the inside jokes, were all serious and no fun party poopers, etc etc. Couple this with the corps like Subdreddit or Dust Univeristy that actually care about newbros enough to train them and encourage them, and it breeds different players altogether. Not everyone plays the game for the same reason. If your corp members are having fun, you're winning. And I'm always hearing about internal drama and fights many of the top-player corps have. That doesn't sound fun to me. |

Than you are like one in a thousand. At least that's my feeling. Yes, that is the right way and i respect that attitude. But i think way too many people go the "I'm Too Young To Die" way.

Well, again yes. Your right with what your saying. But i have kind of a negative view on the players. Some good players are like "They are winning, let's go there". Not all of them, but too many. The way you are speaking is nice and i would join your corp if i would be mad at my corp (which i'm not, i feel very comfortable there.).

If NF is the best, than why is EoN ruling MH? In my opinion MH shows who's the best. Maybe a bit warped through the disconnects and stuff like that, but they are ruling and that has a reason. They are liars and thieves? If i got it right, they sold districts and then attacked them and got them back. Well, your own fault to trade with them. You didn't need to. They were just the better part in that trade. You know now that they are liars and thieves, go for them. But not in the forums, because you won't reach any vengeance agaisnt them here. They will just laugh at you. Go for them in MH, beat them and take you vengeance. |

Corp-hoppers are loserestest guys of the player base. (Although it took some time for me to notice what I want from this game so I, too have couple of corporations in my history.) To join the 'winning side' shows that you have nothing by yourself and want to just boast that you're (in) something by your tags.
Quote: Yes, losing isn't fun, but losing a good game against a challenging enemy is the nearly as great as wining such a game.
So, tomorrow eh? I'm expecting a hard battle.

Same here. We have good thing going in our corporation and I'm not abandoning our guys for the possibility to say I'm 'the best because I belong to so-and-so corporation/alliance which is 'winning' at some point in time.
Whoops. Off-topic, sorry.
DISCLAIMER: I do not hate EoN or the corporations in it. It's kind of sad that everybody jumps on them, here in forums and all. Just fight them if you think you can take them on. |

Really a nice statement Ser Tarlon. I think the same. I am not a person wich complaine about the hitdetection or something. The connection from europe to us are not the best in dust, thats a fact. But EoN has really good squads and i think we can a lot to learn if we fight against these guys. But what annoys me is....EoN writes: " we all wanted to see more corps to comeback in pc" But why these guys take out corps wich comback? So EoN dont let a chance to really comeback, thats ****** up |
