Who is finding this to be too small? I can imagine that the maximum number of possible fits needed will only increase as people can use more stuff.
I have started out as an amarr logi, and even if I were to keep my main tank/weapon combo, I have a tendency to permutate a lot of the options in my equipment slots. If I go solo, I have equipment I can try and deploy a lot of to get points. I have cheap and medium priced versions of stuff. I have medium and long range versions. I've started to mess around with commando fits. I also have tried to see if the medium basic suits are worth much, not to mention having 6-7 BPO dropsuits that I really don't use enough.
So with this you can see how quickly I and others can get to the 30 fittings. Realistically I may play with 5-6 in any game, but what I use in a vehicle friendly map is different than a CQC map, or a fortification/domination map, especially as a logi.
So what if we could get folders? I wouldn't even be opposed to spending a bit of aurum to get some extra fitting spaces. |

My old and feeble brain has trouble filtering 30 fits anyway. I try to keep less than 10 so I stop switching to the wrong one in the heat of battle.
However, I can't see how database space can be that much of an issue. I don't see why they can't offer more. Folders would be nice so I can keep limited edition fits around but away from the ones I use in battle. |

I have loads, because I have SP into almost every weapon (Excluding Heavy weapons, and Swarms) so I reach the cap a lot, then I have to start making sacrifices.

My naming convention is
[ROLE] [Suit] [WPN] [EQP] $cost and I abreviate what I can.
My roles are, attack (gank), combat (survivability), supply (nanohives + uplinks), logisitics (nanohives + repair), support (lethality+hives/repair), defense (longer range + survivability).
I use one or two letters for the equipment I'm using and can fit most of my fit on one line. |

I'm bookmarking this for when you get on threads to complain about how something isn't balanced. This just shows how dedicated to one style of play you are. |

Yea I ran out too. But I had cheap and expensive fits for AR, MD, PC, all with AP and AV variants. Plus some for sniping and other niche roles. What I would like to see is the ability to collapse or expand fits based on the suit used. Sorting with 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b works but still leaves a lot to be desired. |

Honestly at this point, I don't know why we necessarily have to stock stuff as long as we have the isk. Why couldn't the game just auto-charge us whenever we take out a suit to use? A lot of the slowness of stuff is because of how all of the restocking has to be calculated. I feel like that could be refined a few different ways. |

Logis are hit particularly hard by this limitation with all the permutations of equipment we have to carry, and it's only going to get worse as new items are introduced.
I'm managing to get by now because I don't have any proto suits, but I'm sure I I'll feel the pain in a few months. |

yeah 360 possible combinations of different equipment if you use one of each kind in a 4 slot logi (no two nanohives etc) |

I have been stuck at 30 for a while. Advanced and Prototypes of several setups (AR, Swarm, Tactical AR, Sniper, and Tactical Sniper), with duplicates for AV grenades, and duplicates with nano-hives or nanite injectors. I ask if anyone would want ammo before I spawn back in and pick suits accordingly. Add that to a selection of other setups - like milita forge, free setups, and scouts for the start of a skirmish match, and 30 feels constrained. It was much less of a problem when the assault suits could fit two equipment slots. |

Folders sound like a really nice feature, but shouldn't be required to use them obviously. I only have 6-8 fits with only slight variations for nades, STD/ADV/PROTO, etc. but I still agree that it would be a cool feature to have available to sort suits, roles and whatnot |

Here's a guy who sticks to his guns and excels at it.
to the OP I do get that problem but raising the limit wouldn't really be a solution.
take a step back and delete those that you use the least. It's NOT easy cause in the heat of battle you're not minding how many times you use fitting "Tank Hunter Pro+" but where is that pesky madrugar hiding??
This is coming from someone who gets that "maximum fits reached" message but I could tell from all this time playing that the ones I couldn't come to delete were:
Fitting with: DropUplinks Repair Tool Nanite Injector Swarms [Tank Hunter mentioned before] AV nades
That's 5 and if you got the Sever or Dren Logistics suit it's 3 too many. |

Yea I'll do Sever MDAV and then the price, so I know its a sever logi with a MD with AV nades. The price helps me know the level of fitted gear. |

Yeah 30 is WAY too low for anyone skilled into more than 2 weapons. I have 4 weapons to proto, sentinel proto and gal. medium to adv.I like to have fits with every suit/gun and I had to get rid of some useless fits (breach ar/assault hmg) just to make some room for my gal fits. |

So looking at some of the posters on here, it seems the be the handful, that limit themselves to REALLY specialized skill distributions/fits that complain the loudest about not being able to handle certain weapons.
I think this shows the significance of a diversity of sp investments. |

I do something similar, for example
Mk01 Logi $$$$ Ni/Rt/Na = Expensive Logi fitting with Nanite Injector, Repair Tool and Nanohive Ammo
I've got all 30 slots used in this way, with varying price levels and combinations of equipment, and am reasonably able to pick the right one during battle.
I label them from Mk01 - Mk30, to arrange them in a logical order, and because it makes me feel like Iron Man with all my different variations of armor. |

ummm.. 30 is to much imo
stop clogging up all the memory!
who the hell really needs to have instant access every game to 30 different suits o.0
at most I could see maybe 5-6 different suits being used in a single game , or someone is just doing a lot of testing..
I have a total of 9 fittings , and only really use about 5 of them regularly |

You probably aren't a logi...
So I have my basic 'support' fits with MD, about 500 eHP and then my Equipment
To give you an idea of how much variety your equipment slots can have...
I have one suit with 3x healing hives I use in domination to completely cover an area with heals for the points. I have a similar suit for resupply hives and uplinks. Then I have glass cannon AV fits with proto SL and PC. Next I have 'frontline' support fits with assault SR with hive/repair/injector or nanohive/injector/uplink depending on the kind of squad I'm running with. Also I have a suit of combat fits with repair hives and scanners that are more for running solo/smaller squads when blue dots aren't doing so hot.
Then there are the other specialized stuff just for experimentation or specialized purposes, like my mining fit I use to get 9 proximity mines down in a central location for a nearly guaranteed 3-4 kills a game.
On top of all this I'm an amarr logi, which means I also have the ability to also focus on being a semi-slayer, so I have some fittings that spend less PG/CPU on equipment and more on tank/DPS. Lately though in my support fittings I've swapped in the complete opposite direction and gone with dual pistol setups to save fitting space and it has worked out well enough. |
