With this event I'll have enough SP to unlock the ADV assault Forge Gun. Yeah I was so stupid that I spec'd into full sentinel + HMG with prof. level 5. I will be a happy fat girl spamming shots every 2 seconds and 10% faster reload for more spamming fest. I suggest every heavy does the same so that CCP can see the graphs and nerf this thing ASAP.

Not that easy. But glad you joined our ranks. never knew you ran a heavy. What's your favorite hmg? I use the burst from time to time when I'm protecting a cru. I barely use any other hmg.
And I agree the hmg is up. Needs to be fixed. I think that's why you think the forge is OP. Just. Saying

Gastun's HMG has to be my favorite. But I didn't know hit detection was so bad with this thing. My main weapon is my logistics LAV. Yes I'm that scrub but how to resist the fun of running people over? Forge Guns were the least of my problem since they can barely hit me 1 or 2 times. Sentinel + HMG + LAV combination is my "role". Got bored of it fast though I'm trying assault Scrambler Rifles and a Caldari suit now.
It is because I always pay attention to the killfeed and seeing the top corp guy going +15 kills with his assault Forge Gun that had me thinking that the gun was OP. Then I tried a tank and it was proof enough, even though tanks suck at the moment they'll need to have +10k HP to survive an assault Forge Gun spammage. Then as you must have noticed everyone is just doing assault Forge Gun, hence my FOTM thread.

Yea the hit detection sucks. I cant wait until they fix it so i can start using my dren shotgun. I love shot guns the most second to the nova knife. |

I use the MH-82 and I do just fine, hell even the damn base model does just as well. |

Sigh. Meanwhile, I'll be speccing into something else, as this huge influx of people using it is going to grab CCP's... loving attention. Fun while it lasted without it being proto'd every game. I'll just be over here, using the standard Forge Gun, since I can use prototype FG, but don't because that's pretty **** poor. |

I am just so confused about how the weapon designed to pump out shots (Also designed to be used with another suit that has nanohives) is somehow broken or overpowered. Please tell me how much fun it is to try and hit someone dead on with that reticule.

If anything, you should be grateful. Forges used to have much higher splash damage. The people getting forge gun kills have just made it to the top of the skill curve when it comes to aiming and killing infantry with the weapon. Make more towers with ladders. Make rooftops more accessible. But don't nerf the weapon because someone's better than you with it. |

So in your other thread you state that the assault FG is broken, called for a nerf but you haven't even used it yet?
Seriously, you don't see a problem with doing this?
Also, sitting on a DS-only accessible roof to use your FG, does not mean you are good with the FG. |
