I'm going to skip the intro because I'm feeling lazy.
First and foremost, the "Orbital Artillery" outpost is a shadow of its former self. Almost all of the ladders are gone and ugly fences were thrown onto all the buildings. Everyone but the frontline AR assaults would love you if you bring them back- it used to be an extremely tactical map, that gave heavies, shotgunners, snipers, dropship pilots, mass driverererers (the new official term), and laser marksmen a much deeper use.
Next (and probably easier to implement) would just be to throw ladders EVERYWHERE! Not exactly elegant, but it isn't ugly, and easy to do until the resources allow more complex indoor elements. This would include access to the top of the main building in Communications, the smaller building across from it, the 2 main buildings in Biomass, and all the huge flat-topped towers. Possibly put multiple ladders on some of them.
With this, dropships will no longer be the only, easily stoppable way into some of the most tactical positions, although they'll still be extremely useful if the ladder alone isn't a good option for removing a hive of snipers from a tower.
Any thoughts on this? |

+1 to the first idea, it's needed and it's killed a lot of the gameplay that made that SI great. As for the ladders everywhere idea, I'm mixed, that's mainly due to the fact that it would remove one of dropships few uses right now, but overall it's a good idea. |

As I said, I personally think dropships would still have an advantage here. First, it's still far faster than climbing a massive ladder (I remember taking over a minute to get to the top of the orbital artillery), and it's also much safer in some ways than infantry going up the ladder/s. It also adds another angle of fire aside from the limited use of snipers. |

They could at least remove the ugly fences.
I hate that map because I'm a sniper.....and a terrible frontline grunt.....and because of this I use a heavy suit so when I try to jump the fence (hahaha I could say a joke but it may offend people) I don't and get stuck imbetween the wall and the fence :( |

I've tried and I don't like it, I'll "lead" my target and then right when I'm about to shoot.....BAM!!!!! I shot the fence :( |
