So in short, all matches with any character I use I generally hit the 230k-300k isk with an Sp amount of 5k-7k Since double SP started I've ranged from 160k-180k ISK with 3k-4k SP with top 5 leaderboards.
Is this some sort of bug or just a troll way of giving everyone double SP but really only doubling the cap pool and lowering returns by almost 50%?
This is a reported problem with 6 other individuals from my corp. |

Maybe you just didn't do as good those games, if anything I don't think they would troll you when it cost money to get it. |

it only doubles your WP to SP so for example, 1000 WP equals 2000 SP.
Your cap is also doubled |

Really? Because I've been getting around 200k isk from most, and the last match I played I got 604k. 1100wp, nothing special. |

I actually am having a similar problem. I'm getting paid normally (as expected, they didn't say double isk), but my sp is only coming out to 4,000 to 6,000sp per round, which is what I normally do per round without the promotion. One round I did only fetched 3,000sp when i was in the top 5. |

You're probably experiencing shorter games, so the SP/s is netting you less SP overall. The double WP SP will likely be pretty unnoticeable until you're hitting 1,500 WP or more. I've had several games today where I hit around 9,000 SP after getting around 2,500 WP.
Most games (if you're in for the full battle time) will get you around 4,000 SP just on battle passive (SP/s) but if it's a quick redlining, you can get as little as 2,000 SP from just the battle passive. In the case of a redlining like that, even if you somehow get 2,000 WP, you're still only going to be getting 6,000 SP currently and if you only get 1,000 WP (much more likely than 2k) you'll only be getting 4,000 SP with the event.

Too bad as stated many are having this issue, your theory is null.
ISK is still about half of my normal accumulation, some are having the same problem (see above)

I was wondering about this actually, played 2 games yesterday came in 7th and lost got 6k sp, next game 1st and won got 7k... didn't seem quite right.

Seems they wanted to chince out and double your sp through warpoints. get 580wp you get a bonus of 1160 sp.. |
