The game is literally broken right now. I take two steps forward, and then get lagged back one step. I equip my repair tool, but I am unable to look onto anyone. I shoot enemies and they take damage a good 3-5 seconds after I hit them. That's no joke by the way, I shot an enemy and he ran behind cover, then died 3 seconds later, giving me a +50. The game is completely unplayable, so am I the only one with this problem?
And yes, I tried restarting the client. |

Which battlesrever are you playing on? Where are you located? Could you try pinging these addresses from a computer on the same network as your PS3? What latency do you get?
Europe: 5.10.86.104 US: 50.97.153.36 Asia: 216.185.108.171 Australia/Oceania: 27.50.71.26

I leave my battleserver set to automatic, although I have never had these issues before. I am located in the US, and here are my results:
Europe Average= 152ms Packets lost: 0
US Average= 62ms Packets lost: 0
Asia Average= 279ms Packets lost: 0
Oceanic Average= 260ms Packets lost: 0
I am no computer guru, but I am pretty sure 62ms isn't a bad ping, so maybe I am having connectivity issues related to my modem(it hasn't done this lately, but I have had issues in the past) so I will probably try again later and see if works itself out.

under settings- the tab with the gear cog- set your battle server region to america (from your ping it is obvious where you are ).

it's not a bad ping or high latency, it's server/client de-syncs causing your problem. CCP has had problems with this before.
(I am having this problem too, at first I thought it was high packet loss from my ISP, but it only happens in this game, so it's a DUST server problem) |

Many people in my corp discussing/ experiencing this (myself included). Began shortly after 1.2, 1.3 has been terrible. Ping is fine. Only happens when I play DUST. Lag comes in waves. |

On America server I've been having some really bad lag while using the Mass Driver. I hit R1, hear the noise, take 3 steps, then it fires.

But CCP wants to try and save face. That's why they ask every single time. Because they don't want you to know that it's their fault. |

Not sure if it's related but I keep getting disconnected on the Euro servers.
Something about an internal error sometimes pops up. |

Not a ping issue? Without CCP adding display of real time pings for all players in a match you have no way of knowing that for sure.
Forget your packet loss (which is not the issue) and focus directly on *latency* OF OTHER PLAYERS not packet loss.
Look at the pings for people beyond their regional battle server, nearly unusable to forget it. Now factor in that even if you get on a local regional player(s) from outside your region with major high ping will most assuredly end up in the match gaining advantage from lag comp while you're penalized for having properly low enough latency.
There are assuredly client issues from shortcuts taken, sanity checks ignored leaving the client paniced that point back to sloppy code needing rework but without logs & dumps we can only guess.

That should be an easy call given how broken the server situation is is:
Local region will be <100ms, the rest 190+
