This is my personal opinion. I don't talk for my corp or alliance. I probably should have made an alt for this, but I can't be arsed anymore.

There is a lot of EON hate going on around the forums. Let's make a quick list of the "crimes" they are accused of, and see why it's stupid to call them out for them:



-They have too many corps: All alliances had a lot of corps at the start of PC, and all alliances tried to get as many good corps as they could. Eon just chose the right ones.

-They made a blue donut at some point: It's called diplomacy. It's a legit tactic and part of the meta that I don-¦t understand, but everyone says they love.

-They ride on Teamplayer's coat tails: Whoever says that, has never played against Red Star, Sinergy, Not Guilty, etc... Fight them and you will find that TP is just the best corp, in a group of very good corps.

-They are bullies that attack small corps/alliances: Right. Since there are not any big alliances anymore, Eon should just pubstomp in the 2 most boring game modes ever all day, and abstain themselves from having any fun match. Sure. Get real please.

-They act like pricks: Some of them do. However, there are pricks in all alliances/corps. I don't think that if CRONOS, LOI, NF or even ROFL where in EON's shoes, they would behave better. This game brings out the worst of some people, and CCP encourages the community to wallow in the mud.

-They don't allow competition to grow: This is just stupid, but merits a longer answer. The lack of competition is the fault of both CCP and the playerbase.

* CCP is at fault for designing a game mode that is flawed from the start. Logistics don't matter, A teams can play all day everywhere, there really is no point in having more than 2-4 districts, Molden Heath is too small, the SP system don't allow to replace quickly veteran players/corps that leave the game, etc... None of that is Eon's fault, but CCP.


* And the players are at fault because, for all their talk about competition and war, most people don't want to compete. They only want to win. A corp/alliance is defeated 4 or 5 days in a row, and suddenly it's all "the game is not fun", "they are all using flaylocks", "the lag is terrible", "we are pulling out of PC", "we surrender".....

The lag has always been terrible, and the game has never been fun, but that wasn't a problem while you were winning, right? EON can't kill a competition that never existed. It's not their fault that their enemies fold after a couple of defeats. (CRONOS excepted)




So don't blame Eon for playing the game properly. Blame CCP for making a boring game that is not even close to what they promised, and blame a playerbase that for all their talk about competition, is made mostly of carebears. This is where the real problem lies.

TL;DR



This is not an attempt to get on good terms with Eon. God knows that some of them hate our guts, and we are being attacked by them.That's ok. Win or lose we will get some fights, and if we lose all districts, we will just try to get another asap. Because that's the only point of planetary conquest. To fight.


I just wrote this because it is stupid to see so many people sperging hate just because Eon played this mode properly. So, Eon's real crime is to have played Planetary Conquest better than any other alliance. And apparently, as a lolreward, they should stop playing or disband? As if that would solve anything.


So why make threads about EON or other corps attacking this and that. This game is supposed to be about wars and fights. So why complain when you get them?

RND wasn't with EoN during the Cronos war and joined prior to the LOI war (....but faced Cronos corps the entire time and never fought an LOI corp.) Reason I mention all of this because EoN became a problem for the community after the LOI war. Prior to this, everyone respected EoN but noone was saying that they're OP until after the LOI war when there were just 2 EoN corps doing most of the fighting.

You know this because Hellstorm became a powerhouse after beating PFBHz a number of times. Coupled that with the emergence of OH and all of the corps that joined LOl after that, LOI actually became a bad ass force. And noone knew who was going to win the war. It's unfortunate that LOI cracked but should EoN feel guilty about the corps that they have? Not to mention, a lot of players that were here from the start of PC aren't active and EoN's players are. Should EoN break up because of that?

I don't think that people have a problem with EoN...I think corps are just worried about TP. And I can understand why but what does the community think is a practical and reasonable solution? I'm telling you...I know the community said that they don't want to be bothered but if the community declared war on EoN, the community will probably get MH back. Not all of it, of course, but t will be fun getting pushed back into Tartaven and trying to push out again.

Since the beginning of time literally it has been like this. 184AD The Yellow Turban Rebellion was started to overthrow the Han Dynasty which ruled China for 400 years. Heroes from all around the world (Donut Coalition) answered the call to quell Zhang Jiao and his rebellion. Dong Zhou than took opportunity to take control and than found himself in a similar position going against a coalition of the remaining heroes. After much scheming Dong Zhou fell at the hands of his most loved adopted son Lu Bu.

After all this even CaoCao manage to take control of the Emperor, he than became the most hated.

After all of this the point is no matter who is "considered" on top the others will want to exterminate who they feel is a threat. I suppose it's only natural.

Which really needs to be released on PSN - 7-11 - I want 'em all.

Another satisfied customer that seemed to think owning land gave them rights to keep it. U know of all the land I've sold not a single corp has taken out the insurance policy I offered. Likely cause its not cheap, but since when are guarantees cheap?

I think Indie corps are being delusional. Even if EoN sold you land, if you don't buy the insurance plan we offer than keeping your land is NOT a promise. We don't sell it and attack it the next day however. We usually give a good 2 weeks or so.

Somone needs to close there mouth and get off there knees, wipe that cream out of your eyes while your at it. This is whats really going on.

The community sees you for what you are. All the "Wah we are victims" posts are making you look worse day by day.

1: No1 is gonna waste there time makeing a 20-30 corp alliance just to fight the pro thumb wigglers, its too much of a headache and not worth the time.

2: Keep MH, no1 cares. The only thing ruining PC is you why you say? Refer to number 1, 15 corp alliance is more trouble then its worth keep MH no1 gives a chit.

3: The only reason you guys are running these PR posts anyway is because your leadership got roasted and you all look like chest thumping morons at present: Refer to https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=98650&find=unread Read Page 3 Ignore the trolls (Puppies) EoN brought in to derail the post and get there sorry excuse for leadership out of it.

4: You guys fail to realise the future of this game and PC is not EON, Its the new corps, new alliances, and new players.
PC and the game will Flurish if EoN dissolved today then everyone could actually enjoy the game and have all the wars they want without pro thumb wigglers calling the shots.

5: EoN-Planetary Response= 1 in the same the only difference was there execution. PRO made a corp of huge numbers - While EoN made an alliance with huge numbers. EoN just happened to execute it better than ContraBanJoe, other than that they are the same thing.

6: Dont give us the oh we helped indies crap again either, that wasnt to help anything but your wallet and make it so you control who comes and gos in PC. You keep doing it because when ever they need ringers you are the one they pay. Its all PR BS and business not to "Save the game" If you wanna save it split the alliance. Give away alll your districts and then you will have battles again. But you wont because your that irritateing GF that wants all the money she can get. HERES YOUR PROOF FROM THE MAN HIMSELF.
