On the topic of worthless things that exist for no reason in Dust (small rails)
Shield and armor transfer modules. Wtf ccp?
Seriously this thing has no lie a 2 feet range to activate and does not stretch beyond that. The rep rates are like less efficient than a self rep module. Why does this exist? What were you thinking when you made the stats on these things?
And no war points to boot? Um. I'm so confused honestly. Why does this EXIST!? |

I seem to recall a trailer showing some drop-ships repping multiple tanks from pretty high up.

Because it heals things that may need healing. You shouldn't need more of a reason than that. |

I believe Logistics Dropships should get a 75% per level range increase for remote repair/shield booster modules and a 15% per level reduction in cool-down time. |

Oh I'm sorry. It's the length of a dropship from head to toe. How/why is a drop ship supposed to use these things? |

CCP needs to up the range. How scary would a repping dropship be from skyscraper height? Activate and for 10 sec beams shoot out repping everything in range. Like medivacs in Starcraft 2.

So this thread inspired me to put shield transport reppers on my Eryx and try it out. Tested the range on a friendly installation turret and wow, it is beyond useless. Not only is it pretty tricky to get that close to your target, but if you are heading into a combat zone to repair some tank and must get that close for that long, you will be dead in no time and even with a afterburner a logi dropship is so darn slow. |

I'm sorry you wasted 19,000 SP or 40k if you tried both armor and shield.

The lock-on mechanic is horrible. Essentially it's like a swarm launcher.
Buff range by 50%, minimum. Remove time taken to lock on, and upon activation of the module all vehicles within range except the user begin repairing. 1 vehicle in range, 100% repair on that vehicle. 2 vehicles, 50% repair per vehicle, and so on.
If you move out of range and come back in, the module should automatically re-latch onto the vehicle.

I`ve specced into them and you can ask my tank buddy how many times its saved his tank! (ALOT), it also helps, but none the less, higher tier Logi DS when they come out need lighter frames (without HP loss) and built in triage modules (depending on race). triage modules need a longer lock on range but please don`t exaggerate the range in imagination, 0.5x its current range is good. also it does do better then the "self healing active modules" all the transporter/remote repair modules do better, you might have mixed it up. it does need WP and Guardian commission in addition to what it needs..... also the mechanics need to allow the heal chain to re-attach if you return into the range zone or the object that blocked you is no longer in the way, atm it stops, won`t re attach and the module keeps going. |

I like to put a shield transporter on my LogiLAV. Not like I need the slots for tank, and I imagine the HAVs appreciate it. |

but as I have speced into the vehicle, wasted millions of isk into a high risk craft, I get 0 points for doing the job that it claims to do, this forces me to use it as a mobile gun platform, and even then, I get little points, and isk at the end of the match, while my squad is constantly droping on the objective and I provide cover fire, like it was meant to be |
