I am not a noob to this game, but lately i have found myself losing isk due to my expensive suits. The suit i normally run is only about 30,000 ISK a piece, but i die a lot, and the best suit i can run is just all militia, which doesn't help much. Can anyone help me build a suit that is cheap but also effective? and please do not use all militia equipment. |

Hmm . I would focus more on changing up your tactics. The standard Militia suits aren't that bad and you should still be making a fair amount of money with them regardless.
I would focus more on sticking with your squad. If you have a hard time in the assault department, you can earn a lot of WP (translates to extra ISK at the end of the match) By just repairing your team-mates, or throwing down standard nano-hives and drop uplinks.
Always, always stick with your squad, and never chase someone down. It's better to get the kill assist, than a risky kill followed by a death.
Sorry I didn't provide any actual fitting advice.
I would suggest searching the forums for the "Dust Fitting tool" - it's a google spreadsheet app that does what the name suggests.
Good hunting.

Well since you have an Amarr logibro I'm thinking you should stick with that one. Use the STD Amarr logibro:
-EXO Mass Driver -STD/Toxin SMG -(2x) Complex damage mods -Complex Armor Repairer -Basic Plate -Flux nades -Nanohive & Nanite Injector
I'm not sure if you can fit all that in a STD logistics suit. If not you may need to lower the power of the modules. But try to always keep an ADV version of your main weapon, they're very powerful. Not sure if you can equip the Assault Scrsmbler Rifle? You could use that one and change damage mods with shield extenders. Let me know how much it costs. If it's too expensive (+20k ISK) you may need to equip an STD weapon.

Patrick, if I recall right you're a logi. So use your std logi suit w/:
Weapons: >Assault Rifle (More rounds than militia) >Milita SMG/ STD side arm of choice (he's amarr, btw) >Milita Locus
Equipment: I'd suggest different builds here based on the situation. Personally, I'd choose a militia needle and militia repairer, but also start using uplinks (great for points if hidden well) and hives.
High: >2x Milita Shield Extender
Low: >Basic Armour plate >Milita Repairer
This should only cost around 10k I think (mine does anyway). Stick with Heavies or large groups and away from the front lines and repair/heal. You're there for support, not fighting. Only shoot if you have a good opportunity, if not, GTFO. Start learning to survive and kill with cheep stuff, then your extra health and firepower will just augment your skill rather than you relying on your gear. |

IKR...but he doesn't want militia modules, and ADV modules aren't that good so I guess it's proto modules. I don't think he'll be able to fit them lol. Militia modules it is if you want a cheap fit...

Just do not go forward with all of the other noobs, like me, suiciding into battle. Stay back, play conservatively and tactically. You're a logi? Logibro it, plenty of teammates will retreat to you for reps and ammo. |

That's good for kills in the battle academy. At best, he'll annoy people in ADV and up suits. |

Hello, Patrick. I think the most helpful thing I can do is to give you exactly my suit's specs, so you can give it a try yourself.
It's a very simple suit and really not "out of the box", but it's versatile and gives you some survivability.
Before we go, we have to count I have CPU and PG core skills to Level 3:
-Caldari Militia (yes, very cheap) 1x Basic Shield Extender 1x Complex Shield Extender 1x Basic Armor Plate
Standard Assault Rifle Standard SMG Standard Locus Grenade currently, but with these PG upgrades you can fit any Standard grenade you like, Flux or AV
Basic Nanohive
COST: 9675 ISK
My stats (I benefit from Core skills: Armor LV1, Shields LV3. I also do a lot of damage thanks to AR Profiiciency Lv4)
Shields: 338 Armor: 192 Stamina 150/15 Shield Recharge: 15 Speed: 4.85 m/s Sprint: 6.79 m/s
Basically, I'm getting the best (almost the best, actually, if you have CPU/PG Lv5 you can upgrade 1 slot of your choice for few more ISK) out of a crappy Militia suit. I really don't feel like running cheaper than this.

Standard Caldari medium suit Standard Assault rifle Standard SMG 2x militi shield extenders 2x basic armor plates Compact nanohive and whatever grenade you want, thats the bare bones suit I use when I want something a little more survivable than a free suit, I dont know if you have your core skills maxed but youll have 600+ ehp with this set up |

Thank you all for your answers, they were very helpful (and Salo you're a logi too you should know i get armor reps without a rep mod anyway) and i will be trying out your fit suggestion, Pandora, and your's Fat Princess. @CoD isAIDS sorry about that i wasn't sure which ones you wanted to know. my core skills, i think, are shield extension level 1, armor plates level 3, and i forget the rest but i'll get back to you on that. AND to everyone that mentioned armor reppers for my low slot, i already have an armor rep of 4 hp per second, being a logo. Thank you for your suggestions!! |

@FATprincess I do not have complex damage mods, so i replaced them with basic, and the entire suit costs about 20,000 ISK. |
