Even getting splash damaged from behind says they're still hitting you in the front, that's just weird.
Kind of make sense to me. The damage is splash so it is hitting you in multiple directions. All of the directions don't make sense, but it should radiate from the projectile hit location, not the direction it was fired at because your suit wouldn't know about that. however, mds leave a very obvious smoke trail so it is usually easy to detect the direction if you look.

I think you have succeeded in making the first completely original complaint thread we've seen on this forum in months.
I thought this was going to be another explosives bashing thread, but refreshed to see that it is something new.
I don't want them to change the effect because as another poster mentioned it is realistic, but I can understand how somoeone could find it super annoying and am enjoying the breath of fresh air in the forums. |

The constant bombardment of explosions coming from my surround sound just tweeks my brain in just the right way that I go into a bloody rage and feel nothing but pure hatred for the source.
Some weird psychological effect going on there that may cause Mass Drivers/ Flay locks to get more hate than they deserve.
You need to fuel that rage into a fit designed to kill MD users, or just go MD hunting. Murder taxis used to put me into such a rage, so i speced a bit into the swarm launcher and smg and designed a medium AV fit. Nothing feels better than coming out of a fight with a few LAV and tank laying in ruins from my swarm launcher. One battle I took out 3 tanks. Never. Felt. Better. :) |
