If they don't have at least one new suit for 1.4 I will be dumbfounded and very disappointed. I think the Minmatar heavy is coming. Just suggestions.
Shield recharge for Minmatar is not too high as it needs to be able to shield tank. Amarr should have the extra defense from that too. For Gallente you're right. 15 would be better. |

the sentinel doesnt need any more heat build up reduction. You can pretty much shoot the entire clip without overheating, about 50 rounds short. Keep the reload speed bonus but change the weapon feedback damage to 3% armor damage resistance.
I posted something similar about the Gallente heavy being more armor repair orientated than high capacity. Maybe the calamari heavy could be something similar but with shields, like no recharge delay until the shield break, then they are a sitting duck. |

minnies are the most versitile so their heavy should have the most slots. an armor rep as all winmintar have, good shield recovery and high movement speed. this is balanced by their lower overall ehp making them faster to kill when standing still. |

There is no precedent for Minmatar having more slots than others. That would be imba. Good shield recovery is for Caldari.
This Min heavy is versatile I think because his armor and shield hp are close and high and low slots are equal number, and also because his bonuses don't lean him towards any weapon or tank. The increased PG and CPU also help with versatility.
This guy could go shields and catalyzer (potential for 7.7 m/s sprint speed with 2 catalyzers, though it would be a fitting nightmare), armor and damage, or dual tank, etc. |

Damage resistance is a whole different animal from anything currently in the game and it has the potential to be totally OP and throw everything out of whack so I say not anytime soon. |

EDIT: I made some changes to the Gallente and Amarr heavies to make them more balanced. Gallente was OP and Amarr didn't have enough armor. I also changed the Amarr heavies weapon bonus to work with the 2 new weapons I'm proposing!
Heavy Pulse Cannon!
The Heavy Pulse Cannon has two variants (close range).
CZX-9 Heavy Modulated Pulse Cannon Very brief charge, then fires lasers in a fairly tight cone spread. Similar to Assault HMG but with a bit more range, bit less damage (slower ROF, bit higher damage per shot). Large clip. Slow reload. Moderate heat build up. Overheating is deadly.
SIN-7 Breach Pulse Cannon Very brief charge. Charge can be held while correcting aim but heat will build up quickly while holding. Fires a single high damage laser pulse, no splash. Medium clip. Slow reload. HMG range. Overheating is deadly.
Heavy Beam Projector!
The Heavy Beam Projector has two variants (long range).
PWN-38 Heavy Maser Beam Projector Fairly long charge time, then projects a constant beam that has somewhat less range than a forge gun. Fairly high damage, high accuracy. Damage increases as heat builds up. No splash. Large clip. Slow reload. Moderate heat build up. Overheating is deadly.
ZAX-88 Assault Beam Projector Moderate charge time. Charge can be held while correcting aim but heat will build up quickly while holding. Projects a brief, high damage constant beam with high accuracy at forge gun range. Medium clip. Moderate reload. No splash. Overheating is dangerous.
Heavy Pulse Cannon Operation skill: 3% reduction in heavy pulse cannon heat build up per level
Heavy Beam Projector Operation skill: 5% reduction to heavy beam projector charge time per level
Heavy Suits need a lower base EHP than Amarr varients
Love Beam Projector makes me thingk 40k lascannon.
Pulse Cannon is also cool. However Gallente Caldari need to mirror images of one another but with a base EHP of say 650-700.
