Absolutely not! Even though I didn't come up in the Academy, I still think its a great idea for the rookies. It just needs to be fine tuned. But we will eventually get there. The good or the great is never made overnight. |

If nothing is changed, except for the WP requirement, then there really is no point to having it around.
Let's be honest, how long will it take to get 400 WP: 1 game if you know what you're doing or 2 to 3 if not? |

He has to mean 4K. But even if it were 400, yet and still at least the rooks have Academy.
Heck, I didn't even have one when I started. All the big boys were picking on the little guy.
And the reality of the situation is, it can be changed and probably will. It's not the end of the world here people. Like I said, this stuff doesn't happen overnight. It does take some time.
And there's no need to be worry about the poor lil rookies getting stomped on. They need to understand and know the harshness of New Eden. EVE has that reputation and its accepted. But it seems like mercenaries in Dust, freakin mercenaries, are being all mother theresa like. Stop It. |

When I was new to Dust all the academy did was lure me into a false sense of badassery until I hit the real game and died and died and died. I think a proper tutorial is more important, IMO. |

What, 400 wp? I thought it used to be 10,000 wp needed to get out of the academy; at least I could of sworn the alt I created didn't get out until it hit 10,000. 400 wp is fcking ridiculously low it could be gotten in half a match. So now most new players will only get 1 match in the academy? |

400WP? Did they seriously change it to such a lower number? I played Academy anout a week ago and I got over 400WP consistantly and it took less than two hours until I hit 10,000 and was kicked out.
If it is reduced. Maybe they are testing something. |

If I had to guess the reason for the BA changes has to do with uping the number of players in que, and decreasing the time playing in a seperate one. It's a support for match-making in the future. Basically they want a larger number of players to divide with match-making in an effort to try and fill all the ques. |

Errrrr... 400 points.. as if str8 out of the old academy wth 725k sp wasnt grueling enough for the new guys. I think its time to raise the starter SP again . |

I am totally Ok with this. You're cramming 500 SP vs thousands to tens of thousands. Kinda just scaring off the new meat.
If there was a way to combat skill ( player skill) and the requirements of leaving battle academy, we could have some honest gold here. |
