Im one of those that are waiting for fighters to be introduced. Heck, we had a very good thread on what we would like to see as controls and armaments a while back. The problem is that there has been ZERO dev response even from a potential build philosophy. I would be fine waiting for a few months for them if a DEV would actually interact with us so we felt that we were helping to make some progress what so ever.
Right now, this going to head one of two ways for me. Either I am going to hold on and all of my SP saving will come to fruition or boredom will overcome hope and I will walk away with a 'what could have been' mentality. If CCP wants to save this game, they have to come to the realization very quickly that just involving players in brainstorming of new content will have a positive impact on player retention. Right now, all these threads are are nothing more than yelling into the wind. |

MAVs, Speeders (or whatever they're called) and Gunships are much better options for new vehicles in the current situation.
Fighters will not be introduced until Dust is on the PS4 (which means never).
Im actually writing up a somewhat long post on how things can be implemented without excessive need for a full redo of the game. And I fully agree with both points. Yes, there are other things that need to come first but that doesnt mean that an open discussion between DEVs and players about these things is asking too much. As Mobius stated, just starting the conversation would satiate many of us fighter jockeys for a good while if we felt that it was leading towards a future release (even if its months away). Its about open communication and the feeling that we are working towards something other than just sitting and waiting. All that that will lead to is people getting frustrated and walking away because they dont know if they are 3 months away or 3 years (if at all). Other options in games will come and if those options have what players want, they will leave.
Right now we cannot stop the inevitable mass exodus of the casual FPS player that will be coming after the tournament and when GTA comes about. This is about continuing the DUST build so that, at some point in the future, it is a viable alternative to what may be on the market. |

Without releasing dates, it would be nice to know what the development order would be for vehicles. Plans and timelines change but it Im sure people would be satisfied with at least knowing where their desired vehicles are in the current queue. |
