When most proto users started the game we got smashed too. We had no academy at all and proto was cheaper to skill into. None of us gave out, we understood that in time we would get that gear too. COD instant gratification attitude in evidence.

Not really new. I know many using it since cromo. They can only attack isolated targets, so don't be isolated. Also, 99% are afraid to lose a suit. Shoot them down to armour and they run.

If you run officer weapons in a pub then any squads you come up against are looking for you as they know that they might get "fan mail" when we take it away from you. Also, squads will go for you as they know it gives you a chance of a drop.

1.4 killed the kick ass 1v1s I used to get into. 1v1s are now dictated by fittings rather than skill. That's what annoys me most. I don't mind losing to better players, I do mind losing to bad players with better gear. AA killed the meaningful 1v1.
