If any vehicle users recall that sometimes when using small missile launchers the projectile would go off at a 45 degree angle from the aim point for no apparent reason. This seams to have somehow transferred to shotguns though not in the same way...

Um Forge guns and Railguns do -10% to shields +10% to armor according to this chart the only ones that really hurt shields are Blasters, flux grenades, and plasma cannons
