Heat build-up is reduced, allowing you to fire longer and get better damage bonuses.

Well, if you have a logi in your squad (and if you don't, tsk, tsk), you should keep him up to date on your ammo, armor, and location if bleeding.

4. Mass driver users help! - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
What role are you fighting as? I feel logis are better off using the high-slots to tank, dead logis are useless, and no one expects you to be killing every red in sight. Use it to scare off the enemy before attempting to revive someone . If you'r...

5. Hello! - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Buy a lot of militia gear, every suit, every weapon, and test them out to see what you like. Upgrade passive skills like Vigor (extra stamina and stamina regen), Endurance (extra stamina), Field Mechanics (extra armor), Dropsuit Command (reduces s...

6. Remote rep question - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Apparently the Limbus and kitten now I can't remember what the other one is called, infantry reppers are broken. Don't now for sure myself, still skilling up to use my limbus, but there was another thread that mentioned it.

7. Sharpshooter - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
It would be nice if effective ranges were listed with the other weapon stats. I know how long it'll take to reload and how many rounds I can fire in a minute, but not how far they go?

8. Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Look at the clone count in skirmish! If your team has 2/3, 3/4, or 3/5 null cannons and you're below 50 clones; stop rushing the few cannons that are left. The last few days I've seen this seemingly become more common, at least in the battles I jo...

10. Hand Signals - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I'm not too keen on signals that may provoke friendly fire if/when it is implemented. Some may think the blueberries deserve it, some of them certainly do; but please don't shoot me, I'm a logibro. Quote: yes I too have observed some rather in...

What hand signals have you guys come up with or seen in battle for teammates without headsets? I've seen someone gesturing towards the ground or ducking a few times asking for a nanohive, post any you've seen or want to make more common for the bl...

13. Mass Driver Sights - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Perhaps a sight that mimics real-world grenade launcher sights? Basically, there is a peep sight on the side of the current U.S. version that angles up and down, with range increments marked on it. You estimate range, slide the sight down to the d...

14. Mass Driver Sights - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Yeah, I've seen people complain about MD's already. I can't say I've used even a small portion of the weapon types, but I see MD's as similar to nova knives in that they use completely different mechanics than the other weapons.

15. Understanding the Mass Driver - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Can we please stop referring to MD's as "noob tubes"? That label may be true in CoD, but not so much for Dust. They're one of, if not the only, non-hitscan weapons in the game; have rubbish pop-up sights; and won't kill anyone with shields up sinc...

17. Mass Driver Sights - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
So I began speccing into MD's as a logibro and have found that the pop-up sights are rubbish. The reticule on the HUD seems better since it has ranging lines on it that are fairly intuitive; the farther your target, the lower the line used, easy. ...
