Logi have traditionally been the highest earners in war points, which is a big component of SP gain. With bandwidth limiting the distribution of deployables, and increased WP rewards for fighting on points, this may have mellowed somewhat.

Buying a domain and filing a trademark (which they also did before Fanfest) is pretty standard practice for announcing something. And domains are cheap, you can hang onto them forever.

Well, PCs tend to evolve pretty quickly, so buying one a while before the game you want to play is out is a usually a bad idea. Consoles also drop in price over time, so you don't want to buy them before the game you want to play is out either.
