we wont be able to take our isk,assets or SP to legion.But only ranks.
But it wud be nice if you could give the vets or the ones who signed up before uprising & people with more than 30 mil SP.
--> 10 mil SP bonus. a max of 30 ( Or the newbies will get stomped.)

Is Legion still a thinng?
I still don't know why on earth I should build a rig that can run Legion, when I could play Star Citizen on said rig...?
Dust on console is unique, on PC the competition is much stronger, so moving there is a bad move....
And btw, I couldn't care less if assets or anything else is moved to a PC game I wouldn't play... |

I would hope we could take SP, but not ISK. We're still coming out from the broken PC mechanics and people have an unfair amount.

Let me get this straight Legion is not a thing(yet) and both games are going two completely different games. SP, ISK, and assest should NOT be transferable , you are playing for DUST not Legion.

Anyone saying they know what will or won't transfer or anything of that sort is spouting nonsense. The reason CCP hasn't formally committed to what will or won't transfer is because even they aren't sure what will be able to transfer and what won't. So nobody has any special insider info there.

No one knows. I doubt that the developers even have a clue to this difficult question.
Legion may not even become a thing (I love that saying "Legion is a thing" has become a thing) so we cannot exactly be sure. I will say that if after the Rouge Wedding there was an announcement of "We are taking a snapshot of your skills NOW, that is what will transfer" I probably would be less worried than I am. The Loyalty Rank certainly seems like something that could transfer without giving vets too much of a leg up. This does kind of scare me.
The problem that CCP has is that they made a huge show of how "everything applicable will transfer", Rouge hijacking EVE TV several times and even coming out on stage during the CCP Keynote. In good faith, many of us keep playing and monetizing off of that trust of "Legion is what DUST was meant to be" or is simply "DUST on the PC." CCP obviously needs something to transfer so that people don't lose total faith in them though the fact that we haven't yet is probably poor judgment on our part.
Maybe SP won't matter that much with Tiericide. With Legion being on the PC, every EVE player will at least try it. This will give a far larger community so separating it out a bit via better matchmaking and the like will still have a large enough group for everyone to shoot at whether they are at sub 1 million SP or over 80. We really don't know and CCP isn't saying anything.
To CCP: It is well passed time to fish or cut bait in regards to Legion. Let us now if we need poles or not.

I don't really watch him anymore so I don't know how much he's improved, but any video of his were he uses an HMG, or any form of HAV makes me cringe hard.
OVERHEAT THE HMG, OVERHEAT THE BLASTER TURRET, OVERHEAT THE RAIL TURRET, MISS HALF THE MISSILE SALVO, FIRE MISSILES IN 3RD PERSON.
Pyrex isn't really someone to look to in regards to wanting to be decent at Dust, that's for sure.

Who cares if people have 70+ mil SP? Here's the thing, Legion will need to be designed from day 1 to accommodate people with the initial SP of a new character and vets with years of SP. That needs to be baked into the fundamental design of Legion's NPE.
If CCP instead ignores this, and follows the approach you want, relying on an SP wipe to level the playing field, then we'll be in exactly the same place we are now, a year or two after Legion's launch. A game like DUST/Legion needs to be able to have new players join years after release, and have a positive experience.
The solution you want to see would enrage DUST's most loyal fan base, and only improve the NPE for a short time, until the SP gap widens. The long term cost/benefit of such an approach would be horrible. It makes much more sense to transfer SP to Legion and design the game so you can have high SP vets and new players in the same game, both having fun (new players would probably have highsec areas to go where they would be safe from stomping until they built up the necessary skills to be competitive.
Best PvE idea ever!

Yeah but it will be boring to have 70+ mil SP.
We need to grind for it.
The knowledge about the game itself is a great asset to us.
But transferring some **** other than ranks is needed to appreciate the ones who stayed.... |

Its hard to get clarity when it comes to topics about legion. So that leaves people to rely on rumors and speculation. CCP could fix that, but somehow, i dont think they can justify letting us in on the loop.
As for what we get to take to legion, people should be patient, because if next fanfest makes the vets sad again, they might all just pull a temper tantrum again and biomass. So then they wont have anything to bring to Legion anyway. (unless they send in a tearful ticket asking for their character to be restored). |
