I can confirm this happened to me too! I had loads of trouble hacking when I was in my Caldari Assault Suit! I kept lagging in and out of the objectives. However this was not a problem with my Logistics dropsuit!

This happened to me twice on 2 different maps. While playing a game in skirmish mode, I called in my tanks in 2 different games. In both cases that maps started lagging bad and so I go back to my spawn point! I am pretty sure I was not in the red ...
