The biggest factor in cost for the newer TVs are the glass factories, they're still paying off the loans on the plasma TV factories and now everyone wants OLEDs or even better ones and there is apparently going to be a new resolution standard soon...

MCCs are supposed to be able to take fire from much larger things such as Frigates and Destroyers and possibly even battleships as well. Its estimated size is that of a cruiser.
