Do you guys remember when CCP asked us what kind of Cap should be in play? And how the majority of us said we wanted a a cap, but it should roll over? Remember how the current cap was meant to be a "Temporary" thing till the update? How long ago was that now?
For those that don't know, we had a vote a while ago and we selected the Rollover system CCP had proposed, we'd still have this cap, but if you missed a week of playing, the SP would still be there for you to gain, so for example, if you could earn 100,000 SP every week, and you took a four week vacation, you could earn 400,000 SP.
CCP, you did the right thing back then, removing the daily cap, but this week cap is a nuisance, give us the rollover cap ya'll promised us. |

If you just forget everything CCP ever said or promised, and assume that this game is going to crash and burn in glorious hellfire, then your sanity will last much longer.

If they implemented it a lot of the playerbase would be very happy... because they could stop playing. Would prompt a decline in numbers online most likely.
Game's in a sorry state where the primary motivator to currently keep playing (or afking) is not the gameplay or competitive aspect but keeping up with SP. |

I think thats probably the reason why we havent seen rollover yet. People would be relieved that capping a week isnt necessary every week and would promptly play another game, even if they do intend to come back to Dust later, CCP doesnt want them to go. |

Unfortunately, if the rollover doesn't come in, players will start quitting anyways, and when they do come back they'll be very far behind and because of this, won't bother with it. (Am playing with a 1mil SP alt, it's horrible, can't imagine what its going to be like when everyone has 20-30mil SP and he's only got 5 because I rarely log in on him. ) |

Well if they're not going to change the weekly cap then they need to change the 1WP = 1SP up to 1000 cap. If you go 1 - 20 and get 200WP then all you get is 200SP. But if you go 20-1 and get 2000WP you only get 1000SP, not 2000SP. We should get what we earn. No limits. |

I don't think they'll ever implement rollover without making over the booster system. If they keep the current booster system then players could accumulate weeks' worth of pooled SP and use a single short term booster to reap all the benefit with little Aurum spent.
Soft cap at 1000 SP per battle probably exists to prevent exploiting, i.e. that guy who exploited the revive/kill spam and got 18k warpoints. Imagine if you could boost that way after hitting your cap. |

Just adding a global cap set at what the total would be if you capped every week from launch (or whenever the last skills reset was) would be the simplest and most sensible implementation. Clearly CCP have gotten distracted on other things but seriously, this can't be that huge a task, can it? Over 6 months now! |
