Every time there is a new weapon or a mechanical change, it upsets the "balance" of the game. It renders certain effective weapons as ineffective, and vise versa. Now with 1.2, explosions and strafing were changed, so now scouts are out, HMGs are useful, and flaylocks are highly effective. This happens every time there is change. Perfect balance is impossible. This will keep happening every single time there is an update. Not every change in balance is intentional, it many times is just a side effect of another change. I posted a thread about how bring back injectors completely changes the battlefield, the same is true for any other change.
So to my point. If you find yourself feeling like your suit and weapon of choice have left you UP, just wait, you will have your day. To those of you who invest into the flavor of the month, don't forget, nothing remains king in New Eden. Pick a weapon, suit, and playstyle that you are comfortable with. Give feedback on how that weapon works well to that play style.
TL;DR
Quit your bitching, HTFU, and welcome to New Eden. |

I guess you didn't read the part where I talked about feedback being related to each weapon having a particular role. This game doesn't become more fun when "OP" things get nerfed, it becomes more fun when every weapon has a niche and fills it well. I am just trying to get people to recognize that it's important when giving feedback to take that into account. CCP doesn't like content collecting dust for too long, and will always tweak weapon stats in order to make weapons viable. You can find a weapon you like and have fun with it regardless of it's current supremacy or inferiority, as these will be in constant flux. If you want to maximize your killing potential then by all means follow the stats and crunch the numbers and find the best weapon after each update, but don't be shocked when it gets replaced by a new weapon. |
