compressed particle cannon is better than the wiyrkomi forge in everything but direct damage
Then from my understandings it's balanced. Rail tanks are not only backed by higher armor/shield. But also higher DPS and are mobile. Let's not forget you can take an unlimited amount of shots because there's not ammo. Sure they lack DD but what they lack there they make up for in every other area(see the above).
If rails were to get a buff it would... well I don't want to say "break" but it would certainly shift the balance quite abit. Aside from that from what i've read CCP seems to follow the logic where the biggger the more DPS rather then DD because installation>rail>FG.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't the rail also have a greater range to boot?

Pick your poison nerf PRO breach, nerf all FGs, or buff all rails to be more powerful and deal more DMG quicker. |

Nice choice though then CCP would need to reduce the charge times on FGs. If the breach is going to immobilize me and make me wait 6 seconds to charge the damn thing then it should A) deal tank lvl DMG or higher or B) get rid of the penalties. Don't underestimate the penalties that breach FGs provide because those 6 secs determine if you die trying to kill a tank. |
