I just don't understand why the Devs speak so freely in IRC when it comes to balance issue's/content but that same information rarely makes it to the forums. I understand the excuse that it's much quicker and easier for a Dev to respond to quick questions in IRC while they are hard at work but where's the guy to relay those tidbits of information to the rest of the community? Shouldn't that be Community manager or a CPM?

Apparently though, CCP wants to encourage the creation of a knowledgeable elite.
Information should be free to all involved in the game, not just those involved in IRC.
Isn't there some way that the "goings on" on IRC could be posted to a view page on the forums? |

I think it's because as soon as one of them posts here, everyone immediately tears into them about some irrelevant issue / personal gripe, or tries to find hidden meaning behind every word / typo that is spoken. IRC is pretty chill. I can understand that, and I would rather keep them working than pandering to masses of trolls and QQ's, but shouldn't there be someone to report or relay those gems of knowledge that occasionally pop out of IRC?
I thought we had a CR and CPM's to do this? |
