Armor Honeycombing(3x): Requires Armor upgrades V Reduces armor plates speed penalty by 5% per skill level
^ Being slow is the worst thing to be in Dust. Trust me.
Armor Resistance(4x): Requires Armor Upgrades V Requires Armor Plating V Increases armor resistance to general damage by 2% per skill level
Shield Resistance(4x): Requires Shield Upgrades V Requires Shield extension V Increases shield resistance to general damage by 2% per skill level
Why did I I add those two skills at the bottom? Because what made Armor good in terms of eHP in EVE, was not the raw eHP, but the resistances combined with HP. So the 300 shield vs 500 armor turns into 330 shield vs 550 armor. The jump is higher with armor, which is why even though the HP difference is not that big, the eHP difference is quite large.

I love SP sinks. They add variety, they should also add some damage control modules and a tactical shield management skill just for the tears. |

Mathematically, that's not how resistances work. A straight 10% increase would make it turn from 300 to 330 or 500 to 550, because you are multiplying the number by 1 point *percentage increase*. When you're applying a reduction in stuff that's applied, it's actually applied through division. For example, 300 would be divided by 0.90 in this case, so 300/0.90 would end up as 333.3 recurring.
This would widen the gap slightly further, but it becomes more important when you're considering the constant effect of armour repairs - the repair rate is augmented more than a straight 10% increase.
Yay, a 3.3 or 5.5 point difference! Maths, the more you know. |

This would be nice to see, and would give us armor tankers some more stuff to train into. Mostly I'd like to see Honeycombing come into DUST...

Yeah the last skill you listed is oddly absent from my skill list. In all honesty all skills are an SP sink when compared to any other shooter that doesn't have skill points. Try to think of SP sinks as what makes the game fun, without sinks we wouldn't be different and different is good. |

Armor honeycombing should be the assault suit bonus for gallente, not that shield thingy. |

What #10 said.
5% reduction to speed penalty per level (thus 25% at level 5.) Thinking 10% could be *too* much.
Regardless, I don't need a shield recharge bonus on my armor tanking suit. |
