My PS3 broke down today (not reading discs) and I just returned it to the retailer.
So I was just wondering which one are you guys playing on.
Original fat one?
Slim?
Super slim?
Should I just wait for PS4? |

Wish my fat PS3 had lived... Playing on the Japanese FF-XIII Lightning spec. ed. Slim because it was cheaper than the regular slim when I went out to shop for one >.> Of course, now they're even 10,000 cheaper or moreso... meh. |

I play slim.
Super slim is much louder than slim. It also has crappier disc slot. Slightly cumbersome. I would wait for PS4 iiwy... If only we knew 100% DUST will release to PS4... |

Old fatty with a broken disk drive that I picked it up super cheap just for Dust. Then I had to spend almost the same amount again on a decent 3rd party controller with triggers and the Xbox button layout (seriously, no triggers on the DS3? WTF?). |

Slim.
The fat ones were actually more expensive than the deal I got from TigerDirect.
I wanted to avoid the SuperSlim ones because people said they had a heat issue and said heat issue was really bad with Dust. |

PS4 is likely not to be backwards-compatible with PS3.
If you want to keep playing your PS3 games, it's probably worth picking one up if you can find a good deal somewhere.
Also, I had an original release-day 60GB PS3 for a little over 4 years before it died on me. Motherboard burned out, and took the HDD with it. Got a replacement slim a few months later (at a discount, and with a free game and extra controller). Not going to touch superslim. I still miss the original model's touch-points and get annoyed at "clicky buttons" every time I have to use them instead of the controller to start the system up or eject a disc. |

My original fatty. I love it because it looks like a piece of ancient technology in my living room. Yes son, gaming consoles used to be the size of a microwave. |

Original fat. Dust is the only game that I play a lot of, and it's the game that kicks up the most heat..

Slim and Super Slim, the super slim is quite honestly a step backwards in the evolution of the console. The PS2 Slim was maervelous but in this generation the super slim is horrible, flimsy construction, louder, and ugly. |
