How many times have you found yourself laying on the battlefield in an expensive suit, hoping to God that someone will come help you as you pound the square button and stare at the "Triage detected in the vicinity" indicator without any idea if that is someone rushing your aid or a just another selfish noob who forgot he stuck a nanite injector in his back pocket? I think we all can agree that this system could use some improvements, and here are two that I have thought of:
1. Change the "Triage detected in the vicinity" to a "Nearest triage is x meters away" so that you can have some idea of how close they are and whether they are even going in your direction.
2. Allow a player holding a nanite injector to aim the reticle at a downed player's icon and press L1 to send that player a message that they are coming and to hang on.
These will greatly improve this "are you coming or not" situation and decrease how often people give up just before help arrives. You may also like to read similar suggestions here: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=49992&find=unread

I tested how far away you need to be from a player for it to say that a triage is near you, and it is basically that circle on your radar.
If there are numerous blue dots on your radar that are outside of the circle, there can still be someone with an injector heading towards you.
Honestly, everyone keeps suggesting these kinds of ideas, but no one realizes how hard some of these things might be to program. Sure it's a great idea that would make the game better in one aspect, but figuring out how to do this is much less important than say figuring out why the game crashes randomly, or why there's a glitch in the market, or why hit detection isn't working properly. |

When someone is down (and you have an injector), they appear as a syringe icon on the radar. Why not just do the reverse? When you are down, anyone with an injector appears as some kind of medic related symbol. That way you can see who is in the area and if they are even trying to get to you at all. Seems like a rather simple fix. |

very good idea! I still think the L1 idea is good in addition though, as that will tell you that someone nearby is not only able to help, but willing too. |

As true as that is, the whole purpose of the Feedback/Request category is to make requests. Even if the details presented with the idea are hard to implement, as long as the basic idea is good, the devs might be able to think up a similar mechanic that's easier to implement. And just because these requests are being read and recorded, doesn't mean they're completely ignoring major current issues like crashing or hit detection.
These requests, in all likelihood, have absolutely no affect on how soon crashing or hit detection will be fixed. |

Also, because we can't look around, an off-screen indicator should be present as well. |

At the very least a distance counter. Solve so many issues without any complicated (I hope) coding. |

Making the needle holder pop up as a medic on your radar would be the simplest fix. Detected x meters away with quick coming message is good too. I'm for either or anything. I am sick of making a run to someone who just got shot and havIng them bleed out. |

I do believe that their should be a better indication if a medic is coming or not, WE NEED THIS IN THE GAME |

Playing as a Medic in most games, it would help if we could have a little distance to be able to revive our team member... Applying the revive method could be a little more quicker and accessible too... I know, after all, it is war... |

What really needs to be done is in the HUD it should show the distance you are away from a fallen merc. It's annoying to see the res icon pop up and then see that it's on the other side of the map. Showing distance would help out a lot - especially in keeping my attention on the ones next to me as opposed to someone who died all the way on the other side. |

I like this idea. If there's a few blue dots I really have no idea if the medic is the guy walking towards me or if he's the guy who is running away. |

This is a great idea. There's no reason why this should be difficult to code either. The "On My Way" thing should be cake. The real time distance indicator might be a bit of a hassle but they can at least give us an update per second. Of course, programming anything takes time and that time may be reserved for other things. But this would be awesome! |

more times or not, i get ignored or just passed by all together. i know the distance on the radar so you not rezing me is both confusing me and pissing me off....unless there's a fire fight going on.
most of the time, smurfs will not rez you of their kindness of their hearts.
that being said, as a medic logi, i would like to know the distance of downed teammates. a simple fading effect would do, i don't need to see downed teammates who are across the map after all. |

and how about a dist meter for the downed person, rather then just pondering, should i wait or just respawn? |
