It shouldn't take 17 bullets to kill someone with an AR. Only 6-8!!!! Please reduce shields because they're entirely too strong. Thank you. |

I enjoy low damage, high armor. I am against this. 17 bullets to kill is not a problem when you have guns with 60 round magazines. Just get use to it. An assault suit has about 300 HP of shields and armor, and an assault rifle does around 30 damage per shot. Should only take about 10 shots to kill most people. |

so it takes more than just 10 round to take down 300 effective health points. |

There will be a lot of variation due to skills and modules, but if you're running 17 bullets at 750 RPM, then it takes 1.36 seconds to drop your opponent. And that's just not fast enough? |

Because of different weapons and armor classes, no they shouldn't
When they game releases and the market is provided by Eve players, prices for items will change ... at that point, things will probably stabilize. NPC generated battles will only make sense if you are using standard issue or militia hardware, where AR can kill in like 8 hits.
Only Corp contracts will be rewarding enough to risk the big cash items.
So yeah, for now, some people are running around with better gear and making it feel unbalance, and even I rage at time cause of it, but again, there's still some unbalance cause not everything is implemented yet.
At least that's my take on it |

What level are your skills?
Weapon proficiency adds 3% DMG per level, Assault rifle skill adds 5% damage, Assault rifle proficiency also increases damage by 3%.
Thats a total of 55% DMG increase. with the SP in the right places along with a high level rifle. I take people down in 3 bursts from my assault rifle. |

Most of you who are moaning about guns being under powered you do realize you have to skill up your weapon class right? There are skills that increase bullet damage etc, you're all probably using militia rifles with no skills learned against people who are skilled up to at leaste level 3. |

Statement is too general.
What type of suit are you shooting? (Heavy, Scout, Assault, Logi) What is the damage per shot of your AR? How accurate are your shots with the AR from the range you are referring to? (Are you talking about 6-8 hits or 6-8 shots?) What range are you shooting at/from? What are your current related character skills (both those that effect damage and those that effect accuracy) What are the mods you've fit that effect damage or accuracy? What are the mods employed by the players you're shooting at? What are the relevant defense skills of the players you're shooting at? (Note: I realize you may not know the last two, but they most certainly do matter)
When making balance assessments feedback is important.

Heeeeell, no! Assault Rifle has been massively overpowered in previous builds and ppl got used to it. 17 bullets to drop something with a big mag like that is fine. Kills are supposed to be tough unless you got skills and can land head shots. |

I, for one, hit most people in most shooting games on point 99.999% of the time, and kill them before they actually have a chance to bllink. Having that many bullets needed to kill someone completely destroys the element of surprise. BTW, that statistic is usually a body or headshot. |

BTW, most people are not AIMBOTS, so don't expect INSTA-KILLS by headshot. I don't really care, I can play it both ways, but that many bullets to one face is truly unrealistic. Thank you.

One of our current drop suits is probably more heavily armored than a modern APC, and those take up alot of bullets. |

As Iron Wolf states, you are not shooting at a modern day soldier with a modern day AR, a la CoD. You are firing at what could be described as a super tank in current terms. The only reason you can do any damage at all is that the gun is also extremely advanced.
Once you enter the realm of super gun vs super suit any number of HTK can be justified.
Game balance wise, it should take quite a few rounds from a low level weapon with low level support skills.

The dropsuits have various levels of armor and shields, not to mention all the modules and skills to increase said armor and shields. You also can upgrade YOUR skills etc to increase weapon damage. What you are requesting is not logical. If you want easy kills with 3 bullets then play bf3.............or Arma 2. But if you want 'easy, no skill kills' then this is not the game for you.
Edit: plus, if bullet damage WAS increased and you were able to get easy kills.....GUARANTEED the same people who requested said increase would be bashing ccp for 'im being killed too quick, nerf the bullet damage!' So PLEASE leave it with the 'nerf this and buff that' BS |
