I must say: CCP you've pioneered into an almost unexplored field which is Keyboard And Mouse for the PS3, and that earns you big points. Oh and the song during connection is really nice. Sadly though, it's like putting two roses over a pile of elephant ****, to make it look pretty.
1) BAD HALF ASSED CONQUEST: average scoreboard kills per match 5 (3 average deaths). FIVE, dude. A round lasts what? 15 minutes? There's more action in a hearts multiplayer game. Especially since you spend the rest of the time RUNNING, or rather, PANTING since stamina drains ridiculously fast even with a scout suit. FIX: Make sequential control points, instead of the ridiculous and imbecile all over the map **** that's in place now, regardless of whoever thought was a good idea. This is possibly the only fix that you need to save this pile of garbage that is dust, from complete trainwreckage.
2) BAD, SPREAD ACTION: You spend your life running around like an imbecile, all over the map, just looking for somebody to shoot. That, or you spawncamp. I seriously can't think of any unreal tournament engine based fps with so much fail. FIX: make spawnpoints advance with captured points automatically. Depends on point 1.
3) BAD, UNREGULATED VEHICLE COMBAT: spawncamp with a tank: 40/0! even when enemies try to take you down (basic anti vehicular is absolute **** against a long range camper with basic tank or dropship, for example. Only an idiot developer and game content manager would not see this. FIX: make main gun notably less accurate, with a smaller explosion radius, and lower the rate of fire. You don't even have to compensate right now since projectiles have no mass. Ridiculous.
4) BAD, STUPID MAP NAVIGATION: seriously, this is unconcievable. You see a mark on your map, 5 meters away, but you can't possibly figure out how to get there. Real games put an outline of the buildings in the radar for you. dust doesn't have it, since it's obviously not even pretending or wanting to become a real game. Oh and what about a ******* COMPASS? There is none! You need to turn like an imbecile to determine which direction to follow, after you look at the map. Don't even get me started about the inaccessible areas, the steep surfaces! LOL FIX: fire your mapmaker supervisor. hire somebody who's not a complete imbecile that played ANY game EVER, add structure overlays to maps, and create a tool that flattens sharp edges and steep surfaces.
5) ONE SHOT KILLS: real games have usually just snipers to annoy real players with their two shot kills. but dust designers imbecility is SPECIAL. Special as in ******** special. You have 'railguns', and 'shotguns' too! Triple fail! FIX: adjust damage, accuracy and rate of fire so that these weapons are on par with the others.

1. No, the maps allow a team to decide which points htey want to take and hold.
2. Make friends, die less.
3. No. Railgun rounds shouldnt drop over a distance, its plasma. Just learn how to use AV effectively instead of whining, tanks have already been nerfed.
4. Map is fine, learn to navigate.
5. Real games, real games.....this is a beta. If you dont like it you dont have to test it. GTFO instead of whining.
6. Stop being a nub.

I have to agree with the ridiculously steep surfaces (+random pits of endless falling) and add that the unusually tall buildings are pretty obnoxious.
The rest of it is a matter of style CCP wants to have.
Personally I'd like to have the player markers on our HUD taken out so we don't know where other players are on the map. As it is, it's too easy to know that an attacker is incoming rather than: surprise! Easily gives away sniper positions, and forget about sneaking up on an objective pocket and taking it by surprise. |

With the snipers and shotguns, tanks, etc etc, its all a case of perfect imbalance. People all used ARs. Then someone skilled an HAV, and people bitched about HAVs. Then some people quit AR to find a tank counter, Forge Guns. Then tank drivers (and some REALLY ******** snipers) started bitching about FG users. Working as intended. |

Play a different game. I love how dust plays. The maps are awesome. Some path finding improvements are needed and the green city is no fun but otherwise it's awesome. if these are your problems with dust then dust isn't your game. The current actual problems are bugs and drops. oh and people with not a lot of skill points. There are plenty of tank counters just the mass of players haven't bothered skilling them yet.
Dust should balance out between equal skill point groups. Groups having more skills will win |

1. 5kills lol bad player, as for the size of the maps tbh no worse than BF3 and in conquest like on a big map like caspian border you will 2 ppl circle jerking in the sky, 2 in a heli and the rest in the 3 tanks tbh with no one on the ground, also DUST is 16v16 atm so better than BF3 for a big map tbh
2. You do know you can cap colne bays in skirmish right? also you can drop drop uplinks which are spawn beacons
3. Tanks too easy to skill into atm and not enough AV stuff in general, il give you that one
4. Radar works for me, also it is a compass tbh ther is a big N on it which means north then work out the rest
5. OHK tbh damage modifiers increase the base damage, also depends on if your in milita gear which is weak and if your tank or gank fit, tbh a shotgun will shread most things up close espc if you have no tank or in milita, many factors with this one

I only agree on tanks
1- average scoreboard kills means across the scoreboard. my personal score is irrelevant. bad company 2 has a round end average score 5 times higher, properly taking round duraction factor into account. Even an imbecile and deluded fanboy can see that there's too much difference in the round action. This can only be fixed by transforming this pile of steaming **** gameplay into 'rush' mode, or 'frontlines' mode.
2- clone vats have fixed positions, and uplinks depend on the occasional player who drops them. suggestions about 'friends' or 'corps' or other social attitudes are just imbecile, because you obviously don't want to hear it, but 'occasional' players make for 90% of the playerbase. More than enough reason so it's not the player that needs to adjust to the game, but the contrary. Additionally, the fact I'm right is perfectly explained by the ridiculously steep reduction in players over just two weeks after public beta, lol. Dust is a failure, and it certainly won't get better if it stays the way you fanboys 'oh so much love'. To fix this, there should be a spawn line that automatically advances with captured objectives, regardless of clone vats and uplinks and whatnot.
3- good that we agree. the key in bad company 2, that had even unlimited tanks for the offenders, was that tanks took serious punishment from AV. in dust AV is a joke, and vehicles speeds and accelerations? drug mushroom induced 'ideas' from a sick, idiot mind of a 'game designer'. The LAV seems to do its job, since it has little offensive and annoying power, but the tank or the dropships? lol. Multiple crew firing positions, ridiculously high hitpoints, and impervious to all damage but AV ... LOL. To fix this garbage, vehicles need a supreme nerf in hitpoints obviously, or they need to receive damage from small arms fire too.
4- Honestly never saw it. However since you might be one of those that spend 10 times in the forums than in game, you might be referring to an old version. I reserve to call bullshit on this until I see the current game hud sometime in the future maybe.
5- Dude, the reasons behind the ******** imbalance are insignificant and meaningless. ccp failures will learn the hard way that people play online fps to have fun, not to relive some enactment of 'hamburger hill' where they get spawncamped and massacred by a 'superior' enemy or by one shot weapon kills. I seriously never saw so much fail in an unreal tournament 3 based game. Even first day mods were superior in balance and gameplay, with their simple yet -FUN- team deathmatch.
tl;dr; If you're reading to see if dust is worth the time, it is not. Don't even download it. I'm doing it because I had great expectations and was sorely deluded, and now I want to save this delusion to as many as possible. dust is a pathetic attempt at an overused and rotten conquest mode, where you run 100 seconds (yes thats almost two minutes) for every -three seconds- that you shoot or even see an enemy. It clearly inherits the brain cancer 'idea' of eve's pvp, which is utter **** by itself, where you have isk and you win, and your actual skill in driving your character or aiming or piloting are just collateral to how much dough you dump on your equipment. |

Railguns shoot a chunk of mater accelerated to hypersonic speed. If you fire over really long distances you can see the drop. |

Quoted the last part that shows you have no idea how EvE even works. Or you spent all of 5 minutes on there before running off. Considering the amount of expensive ships that die to cheap ships, cheap fittings and low sp pilots. I'd say your premise on that is full of crap. |

LOL don't worry. You and the other 200 people that will make the game last the next 6 months after launch will have a lot of fun. Good luck keeping the servers alive with just your incomes, btw.
In all honesty, PS3 people aren't idiots. The 'game' that ccp is trying to launch can only be liked by an idiot, so much it's unbalanced and unfun. No offense h+¿h. Only a truly sad, desperately deluded person could believe that a PS3 owner would dump his time and cash on such a half assed 'conquest' shortcoming , when there's so many other actually -excellent- titles offering way better of the same, eventually for less money (since dust is a cash cow wannabe that falls short, and that's utterly ridiculously obvious pay to win). |
