Can we get either an personal mute (like an ignore) or a squad leader mute (like your sergent just revoked your speaking privileges)? Once he got past the pre-game song his play list wasn't that bad, but there were a significant number of teammates who were being rather whiny about it.
We may also need to stage an intervention... Bad Furry listens to the same music as my ex-wife & it has me concerned. |

MSI which is concerning in it's own right (being the musical equivilent of crack in both the effects on the human body & addictive beats to sensive people), but doesn't evoke the same sense of loathing hatred that Beiber would have committed me to.
Asno Masamang wrote: Seriously though, we really do need a way to mute / ignore individuals as we can in EVE. Personally, I don't have a problem with their talking, screaming, etc... I do have problems when they blast music so loud that I cannot hear the rest of my teammates. Even though, I generally won't mute them unless they start being rude when I ask them politely to turn it off or turn it down.
Agreed. But while the music was "loud" it wasn't as loud & obnoxious as the other players yelling at Bad Furry to turn it off, then nerdragequitting.
Even if we had a "whisper" function that would be enough. It doesn't need to be a full mute, just something to help make sure we can hear everyone & not hear people we don't want to hear. |

i guess if you cant beat them join them. "everything louder than everything else"
I personally liked Bad Furry making a brief apperance. It was classic. |

We may also need to stage an intervention... Bad Furry listens to the same music as my ex-wife & it has me concerned. I got to experience this for myself tonight. I really think a mute option would be great, especially since BAD FURRY doesn't even talk while his comms are on, he just plays music. Not all of it was bad, but if I wanted music, I would play my own, while my mic charges. Bad music and a voice changer. What an attention *****.... All fairness -- at least I don't have to mute my entire channel like I do when someone starts whining, cursing & using slurs over the mik... which has already happened once.
Seriously. Communication is helpful to cooperative gameplay. Cursing should be concise & to the point. JUST GET TO THE ****ING MONKEY instead of rambling like Gollum with turrets. "Theres a bleeping sniper on the bleeping tower." Tells us to take a look at the towers. "There's a bleeping tank at objective C." tells us where a tank is. "All of you bleeps are bleeping bleeps who couldn't bleep their bleep with their bleep bleep bleep. Why aren't any of you bleeping bleeps bleep bleep bleeping. (incoherent slurs & other insults, etc..)" tells us you're an antagonistic overly self important bleep who we're going to have to mute.
Bleeping seriously. Every time you queue up the mic to tell someone to bleep themself, go bleep yourself first. |
