Id like to propose an idea and im not sure how well this might work. So lets break it down build on it and if its a bust we can scrap the idea.
Lets say we all start the battle the same. What i mean is we all deploy into battle as militia. If we are good we then we get to upgrade to better and better suits of our choosing.
Here is how it works. We all start out in militia gear or starter fits of our choosing. Anyone who gets 5 kills in a row gets to upgrade to a teir 1 or any basic suit. You get 5 more kills you move to teir 3 or advanced suit. And you get the point. But here is the catch every time you die you go down a teir and in order to get back up you have to earn it back.
So lets say you made it to proto and you die out now you are back to advanced and need 5 more kills to move back up to proto. In order to use officer you will need 10 kills in a row.
I have thought about the fact that if you are unable to kill much you can get the same upgrade in teirs through warpoints.
Vehicles are the same if you are teir 1 then so is your vehicles.
What do you guys think?
I think this will help gameplay. Lets build up on the idea or watch it fall.

You are basically proposing a ladder system similar to a lot of competitive online games right?
A great idea but I must say even for larger companies, getting the code and the system to a good place is difficult but do-able. I would also imagine in DUST we are kind of lacking the playerbase to have a diverse ladder system.
I.E We would be better off with a 'simple' lower / higher tier, as opposed to other games that would have say; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Masters, Grandmasters leagues (or something like this) |

There are not many like dust since it has its own system just like it.

This adds another penalty to death so we know it will skyrocket the level of bitchassness in pubs. Plus it greatly penalizes you for having bad blueberries that just die and feed the other team kills. Then there is the race to lock down the other team with pro scans/vehicles/suits.

Well i cant help match making since people dont care about earned kills. Maybe taking out KDR and score cards will help people focus more on the fun factor instead of numbers.
