Keep in mind I'm not caring about what is the optimal way to fit, just what would be racially appropriate. This is currently how I see it (know that I have 0 experience with EVE) Amarr Overall goal: slow and durable, meant to survive the fight and end it quickly so you can have more time to slowly recover -Highs: All damage mods, possibly a single shield extender. -Lows: Plates and more plates, with an armor rep if you don't have a Min slave Caldari Overall goal: Tanky just like the Amarr, but keeps to the extreme ranges so that shield regulation can work properly -Highs: Shield extenders for days -Lows: Regulators and a profile damp Gallente Overall goal: Hit and run CQC builds with high damage and fast armor regen. Get in, get out, get back in. -Highs: Damage mods and a precision enhancer or energizer -Lows: Priority armor reps with a few ferroscale plates Minmatar Overall goal: Fast and versatile with an emphasis on dual tank, shield recharge, and mobility. -Highs: A balance of shield extenders and energizers -Lows: Reactive plates and a kin cat Opinions? 7162 wp with a Repair Tool!

In EVE, at least when I was playing years ago, the most patriotic minmatar fit was damage mods/tracking enhancers in the lows, and propulsion mods/warp disruption/flimsy shield tank in the midslots (midslots in eve are like our highslots, high slots in eve are weapons/equipment), with the goal of evading enough incoming damage with speed to survive long enough for your autocannons to shred your victim In other words, circle strafing while spraying ACR/SMG fire in the general direction of the enemy is one of the most minmatar things you can do in dust, right up there with shield tanking and long range attacks for the caldari, stacking more armor plates than a forklift operator at a Caldari Steel warehouse while a minmatar slave repairs you for the Amarr, or dying before getting within shotgun range for the Gallente Since our damage mods are in the highslots instead of the lowslots like eve because reasons, I like to substitute a ferroscale armor tank with a rep for my minmatar fits and use a mix of damage mods/myos for mobility in the highs As soon as we get the prophesied ROF mods and damage mod slot switch though, I'm going full dakka 2-3x ROF mods, 2-3x damage mods, flimsy tank or speed mods in whatever few slots are left

Shows how much you know. As I see it there are really two kinds of viable fits for the Amarr dropsuits both of which adhere to the principle that armour is superior to shields by significant margins. The first is the standard 'heavy resistance tank' which is typically achieved in EVE through the combined use of armour plates and resistance plating modules. In dust this can basically be relegated down to making use of armour plates over repairers in a 1.5/1 ratio. The other way and this is more or less how I fit my ships in EVE is basically a light weight, reasonably fast, mid ranger kiting ship designed to keep a fair range from the enemy and whittle them away with superior fire power. For this I like to use Ferroscales to keep mobile. A more radical fit could see a Kinetic Catalyzer added in for that extra boost of speed however this kind of fit is not suited for short ranges gunplay or defending points.
