So I'm in a scout suit (not that often but when duty calls), cross the red line, kill an enemy using a turret and heading back to safety and I die with 6 seconds left on the timer.
I'm already safe by this point, but don't get why I still die.
I don't get it. I wasn't drunk I swear.

Thanks mate, I do make an effort to keep track of the changes, but this must have slipped past.

This used to happen a lot, seems to happen less now in my experience. Still does other weird things (e.g. continues countdown while clearly back in non-redline). |

LOL!! Ablerobler, you weren't drunk, we know. But I can assume you were watching the seconds carefully on the Zone-timer to tell when you have enough time to get back safely.
But,... the Zone timer is FAULTY. It has been faulty for us vehicle drivers too, and it SEEMS to have to do with accurately synchronizing where the redzone boundary line exists (and the timer starts counting), and the game actual moment it ACKNOWLEGES you're over the boundary line (and displays the correct amount of seconds you have left in the redzone).
We've mentioned this glitch to CCP repeatedly, expecially from us Dropship players who enjoy an exclusive "grey area zone" that's somewhat further out there from the zone ground players can cross. I've lost 7 DS's to redzone-death--sometimes the clock just kept ticking--when I had crossed safely back on the legal area 10 seconds ago!. But to make the glitch harder to resolve, the "lag" you experienced only happens sproadically, not every time you test it.
Many players have just decided to give up waiting for the glitch to be resolved, and they are experineced enough now to keep in the back of their minds that the slight risk is always there when they cross that line.
Now this knowledge has been passed to YOU, to add to your skill. Use it wisely, my merc!

Same here usually in a 600 k dropship, if ccp wants us to even kill these 10k hp installations please fix this redline bug. |

There's one button you can hold to allow you to run around the redline freely after the timer expires. I can't tell you which one it is, since I don't want to get banned for sharing cheats, but I assure you it works.
I don't always blap Infantry with a Forge Gun, but when I do, that ** is hilarious.

Just googled it - will spend all evening behind the redline tonight!
